Research objectives: the State Council issued in 2019 " Sports Power Building Program " mentioned that the youth sports service system is basically sound,physical literacy has been significantly improved,health status has been significantly improved;" three balls" and basic major to achieve balanced development for 2035 part of the strategic objectives.Based on this background,combined with the "small basketball" program of the key promotion project of the China Basketball Association,it is combined with a kind of idea of innovative ball game teaching called understanding teaching method put forward in the early 1980 s.From the point of view of physical literacy,through the method of experimental contrast,using CAPL-2 as an evaluation tool,this paper explores the changes of children’s physical literacy after teaching and training small basketball with comprehension teaching method.The aim is to promote the overall improvement of children’s physical literacy,so as to make "small basketball" more efficient to promote the development of children’s physical literacy in China.Research methods: This study mainly uses literature method,experimental research method,questionnaire survey method and mathematical statistics method.According to the characteristics of children’s physical and mental development,60 male students aged 9-10 in Yantai D2 C Basketball training Camp were selected as case study subjects.The results were as follows :(1)In terms of physical ability,the scores of children in the two groups were significantly different before and after the experiment,P<0.05,and the scores of children in the two groups after completing the whole course content also changed significantly,P<0.05.(2)In terms of motivation and confidence,the scores of children’s motivation and confidence-related questionnaires in the two groups were significantly different before and after the experiment,P<0.05.(3)In terms of knowledge and understanding,the results of the questionnaire on knowledge and understanding of children in the experimental group and the control group were significantly different before and after the experiment,P<0.05.(4)In terms of daily behavior,the scores of children in the experimental group and the control group were significantly different before and after the experiment,P<0.05.Conclusion :(1)the application of comprehension teaching method in small basketball training has obvious influence on children’s physical accomplishment.It is shown that the teaching and training of small basketball with comprehension teaching method has more obvious effect on children’s cardiopulmonary endurance,muscle strength and sensitivity than the control group.(2)The teaching and training of small basketball by means of comprehension teaching method has more obvious effect on children’s motivation and confidence to participate in physical activity than the control group,which can give children better sports experience and make children enjoy the fun of participating in physical activity.(3)The teaching and training of small basketball by means of grasp teaching method has more obvious effect on children’s learning sports knowledge than the control group,and can better help children to understand sports knowledge and carry out sports more scientifically(4)Teaching and training of small basketball by using grasp teaching method for children.
