In August 2019,the General Office of the State Council issued the "Outline for the Construction of a Strong Sports Nation",in which it is clearly stated that the physical literacy and health level of the whole nation should be continuously improved,and the physical literacy of youth should be significantly improved.In April 2020,the "Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports and Education to Promote the Healthy Development of Youth",which was deliberated and adopted by General Secretary Xi Jinping,proposed to integrate schools with traditional sports programs and schools with sports characteristics,and build sports Traditional schools with special characteristics.The "critical period" for developing students’ physical literacy is from 8 to 12 years old,therefore,the target population of this paper is mainly school-age children in elementary school,select Dongfeng West Road Primary School,Meiyuan West Road Primary School and Lin Feng’e Primary School as the survey schools.These three schools are not only recognized by the Ministry of Education as schools with special characteristics in school basketball,but also as schools with traditional characteristics in sports in Guangzhou.Using documentary,experimental,questionnaire and expert interview methods to construct a physical literacy assessment system for school-age children in Guangzhou.Learn about the role of the Guangzhou School Basketball Program in developing physical literacy in school-aged children,to propose countermeasures aimed at promoting the synergistic development of school basketball programs and physical literacy of school-aged children in Guangzhou The results of the study showed that.(1)The "Physical Literacy Assessment System for Guangzhou School Children" includes four primary indicators: emotional dimension,physical dimension,cognitive dimension,and daily behavior dimension;and six secondary indicators:self-perception,self-confidence,physical quality,basic knowledge of physical education,knowledge of healthy life,daily behavior activities,and specific questions to describe the indicators.(2)In the cognitive dimension,the test scores of the experimental group were very significantly different before and after the experiment,P=0.004;the control group was also very significantly different before and after the experiment,P=0.007;however,there was no difference between the experimental group and the control group after the experiment,P=0.569.(3)In terms of physical dimensions,the performance of the 50-meter run in the experimental group and the control group were different before and after the experiment,among which the experimental group had a very significant difference,P=0.000;the performance of the 8x50-meter return run in the experimental group had a significant difference before and after the experiment,P=0.011,and the control group did not have a difference before and after the experiment,P=0.617;the performance of the seated forward bend in the experimental group and the control group did not have a significant difference before and after the experiment.In the long jump,the experimental group had a very significant difference before and after the experiment,P=0.002;the control group did not have a difference,P=0.590.(4)In the emotional dimension,the experimental group had significant differences in self-perception and self-confidence before and after the experiment,P=0.014;the control group did not have differences before and after the experiment,P=0.091.(5)In terms of daily behavior dimensions,both the experimental group and the control group played a positive influence,but the experimental group had a more significant effect.(6)According to the findings of the study,we proposed corresponding countermeasures: to increase campus basketball activities and optimize the characteristic basketball curriculum;to cultivate a healthy lifestyle and good habits;to integrate the existing available resources and strengthen the publicity of physical literacy;to enrich the school physical education teachers’ faculty and improve the teachers’ evaluation system.
