Research On Social Work Optimizing The Service Management Of Ethnic Minority Students In Universities

Since the 21 st century,with the continuous economic and social development and the gradual deepening of the development and construction of the western region,the material and spiritual lives of people in ethnic minority areas have been improved a lot,which leads to more and more ethnic minority college students have gone to colleges and universities in non-minority areas.However,due to changes in the their life,students of ethnic minority come across some difficulties in getting used to their college life.The main manifestations are high learning pressure,difficulties in socializing,and prominent employment problems,etc.The student service management department of colleges and universities aims to facilitate the cultivation and all around development of college students,which effectively protects the interests of students and it provides all-round assistance to students.However,according to the currents situation,the working methods of colleges and universities are relatively common without variety.The effect of service is far from enough.As an applied major with scientific theoretical basis and personalized working methods,social work aims to help improve people’s environment by solving difficulties in their life,so as to and improve one’s happiness.which has been of great importance in schools,families,communities and other fields.This study takes the student service management work of A College in H Province as an example,interviews and observation methods are employed to study the learning and living conditions of minority students in A College,and the present situation of service management for minority students in A College as well as the exiting problems and its causing factors.Case study and group work on ethnic minority students were carried out from the perspective of social work and intervention service was evaluated.Based on the above research results,the author puts forward the advantages and necessity of carrying out school social work in colleges and universities,as well as the significance of building a sense of Chinese national community in schools and team construction of management service in colleges and universities,daily management and employment assistance for ethnic minority students etc.by adopting the method of work intervention and methods,which is of great significance to the development of minority students,the training of school talents,and the strengthening of the consciousness of the Chinese nation ’ s community.
