Research On Improving The Employability Of Private Higher Vocational College Students Based On Competency Model

Under the background of the popularization of higher education in China,the contradiction between supply and demand of college graduates is becoming increasingly prominent,and the employment pressure is increasing.The difficulty of College Students’ employment has become a hot issue widely concerned by all parties.As a part of the employment group,private higher vocational college students not only face severe employment situation,but also are at a disadvantage in the employment competition with public college students,which aggravates the difficult employment situation of private higher vocational college students.How to solve the employment problem of private vocational college students,the key is to improve the employability of college students,how to improve the employability of college students,is a major issue to be solved in private vocational colleges.So,on the basis of literature research,according to competency model theory,ability development theory and person job matching theory,this paper defines the constituent elements of Private Higher Vocational College Students’ employability,which mainly includes four dimensions: personal characteristics,general ability,professional ability and career planning,and constructs the structure system of private Higher Vocational College Students’ employability around the four dimensions.Secondly,according to the structure system of private vocational college students’ employability,the paper designs the employability questionnaire,investigates the junior students of six private vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province,and interviews the recruiters of multi family units,grasps the employment quality of private vocational college students,and analyzes the problems of private vocational college students’ employability Problems,such as poor psychological quality,poor general ability,lack of professional ability,weak career planning ability,etc.And from the government,schools,employers,students and families five levels to explore the factors that affect the employability of private vocational college students.Finally,from the perspective of competency model,aiming at the existing problems and influencing factors of Private Higher Vocational College Students’ employability,this paper explores the path to improve the employability of private higher vocational college students from the government,schools,employers,students and families,so as to promote the full and higher quality employment of private higher vocational college students.
