| That the phenomenon of college graduates are unemployed while labor demanders is difficult to recruit the right person to the positon coexists drives the study of college students employment.Studies have indicated that,due to the expansion of higher education and industrial competition,labor demand side more attention to the graduates have a career orientation,values,expectations and career decision-making skills of the graduates,as well as the ability to adapt to the position,which is difficult to obtain and form in the formal classroom.And because the extracurricular activities exist except in name between the period of senior secondary school and any other time before it,It is difficult for students to explore and obtain the non professional skills in their work effectively through the organized extracurricular activities,while highlights the importance of College Students’ extracurricular activities in the formation and cultivation of the employability.This research which is divided into nine parts is to explore the relationship between College Students’ extracurricular activities and the cultivation and development of employability.The first chapter introduces the background,purpose and significance of the study,on the basis of defining the core concepts of "extracurricular activities" and "employability",the research questions and hypothesis and the research mentality and the technical route are carried on the account.In the second part,the paper makes a literature review on College Students’ extracurricular activities,employment and the relationship between them.The third part introduces the research object,the research design,and the background data analysis of this research object is carried out.In the fourth part,the extracurricular activities involving experiences of College Students is investigated,and the differences of the extracurricular activities and experience of participation and personal background variables with the extracurricular activities are analyzed.In the investigation of the 8 kinds of extra-curricular activities,the largest number of participants is the students "association work activities",and there are significant differences in the extracurricular activities of college students with different gender,whether the only child,different origins,whether there is expertise,different professional categories,the degree of interest in the study of students and different family economic conditions.Based on the construction of the evaluation index system of the employability of college students,The College Students’ employability development status is analyzed,and then the differences between the personal background variables and college students’ employability and it’s facets are analyzed in the fifth part.The results show that: the college students’ employability skills scale is composed of 31 items,and there are significant differences among college students with different personal background variables.The sixth part is to analyze the differences between extracurricular activities involving experiences and the facets of employability,and the related analysis of the participation experience and learning experience in extracurricular activity with the employability and its facets respectively;.It shows that:there’s difference in the employability and its facets between students who own different extracurricular activities involving experience,The extracurricular activities participation experience and learning experiences had "low correlation" or "weak or irrelevant" with the facets and items of employability.The seventh part takes qualitative research methods to supplement and improve the quantitative analysis to analyze the relationship between College Students’ extracurricular activities and employability development and cultivation.The interview shows that the majority of university graduates think that taking part in extra-curricular activities can effectively cultivate and improve their ability of social,interpersonal skills,professional knowledge and application ability,scientific thinking skills and emotional stability.The eighth part adopts the multiple stepwise regression method,carries on the personal background variable,the experience of extracurricular activity to the overall employability as well as the facets of employability to prediction analysis.The results show that extracurricular activities participation experience and extracurricular activities learning experience have a significant impact on the training of employability,the personal background variables and the experience of extracurricular activities can predict the overall employment and its facets.The ninth part summarizes the conclusions of the paper,the countermeasures and suggestions for the Universities and students are proposed,and last,the future research prospects are put forward. |
