General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the National Education Conference pointed out the direction for the development of ethnic education,and many preferential policies for minority education were issued at the national and local levels.Under this background,Uygur students who choose to come to coastal colleges and universities are increasing year by year.However,after studying in coastal areas,the great differences between natural and social environment bring many maladjustment to Uyghur college students,among which,Uyghur students with low learning adaptability face great pressure in their studies.This paper takes Uygur college students in coastal colleges and universities as the research object,through the collection and combing of the previous literature data,combined with the characteristics of Uygur students,and on the basis of the original college students adaptation scale,the study adaptation scale of Uygur college students is developed.Then,under the guidance of social support theory,social learning theory and advantage perspective theory,the thesis carries on the intervention research through the development group work.A total of 6 freshmen and sophomores from Qingdao X University were selected.Their learning adaptability is relatively low but they have strong desire to change.Through the development group,the emphasis will be placed on the advantages of the team members themselves,through the excavation of personal potential,improve their self-efficacy,so as to enhance the ability to solve problems and achieve the goals of the group.The group carried out six activities,which were divided into three periods: first,middle and later.The whole group program was designed to help the group members improve their learning adaptability and solve learning problems.The study has proved that it is feasible and effective to intervene in the learning adaptability of Uyghur college students in coastal universities.The professional suggestions and reflections formed after the end of the group will provide a good practical reference for the group work intervention of college students of other ethnic minorities,and will also provide certain materials for the localization of ethnic social work.
