In recent years, the state has placed greater emphasis on the positive role that social work services can play in solving the problems of the family lost their only child, and has introduced policies to encourage social work agencies to provide various forms of social care activities for the families who lost their only child.Since then,it has become the norm for the government to purchase the services of social organisations for the families who lost their only child, and social work agencies have started to provide support to families who lost their only child. The X-Community "Love Station" project is a demonstration project in Shenyang’s TX district for the public welfare of the family lost their only child. The project team focuses on the needs of the family lost their only child in terms of psychological support, supportive relationships, policy communication and specific life assistance, providing case-based and community-based services. The services provided by social workers for the families who lost their only child have been effective, but many professional ethical dilemmas arise in the process. As the "lifeline" of social work services, social work ethics is a cross-cutting issue that can be difficult for social workers to address in practice due to environmental factors and the specificities of the clients they serve, resulting in ethical dilemmas. This paper takes "Ethical dilemmas and countermeasures in social work services for the families who lost their only child as the research theme, focusing on the manifestations and causes of ethical dilemmas of front-line social workers in the implementation of "love station" programs for the families who lost their only child, and then finds countermeasures to solve these ethical dilemmas. After interviewing six social workers in the "Love Station" project in Community X and taking into account my own experience in the project,I summarise the ethical dilemmas encountered by social workers during the implementation of the "Love Station" project in Community X into the following three types These are:ethical dilemmas in professional boundaries, ethical dilemmas in situational choices, and ethical dilemmas under administrative pressure. The author believes that the causes of these ethical dilemmas are divided into the following three areas: the specificity of the clients themselves, the duality of the workers’ identities, and the general weakness of professional ethics.Based on the above reasons, the author attempts to propose countermeasures to address the ethical dilemmas in three aspects:project purchase should emphasise the professional identity of the worker, project implementation should highlight the professional role of the worker, and project staff should strengthen the internalisation of professional ethics.
