In recent years,with the rapid development of the tourism industry,the educational reform of secondary vocational tourism majors has received more and more attention.With the rapid development of information technology,the impact and influence of online education on traditional classroom education is increasing.In this context,blended teaching provides new ideas for education reform.As a labor-intensive industry,the catering industry is one of the main job markets for secondary vocational tourism students,attracting a large number of secondary vocational tourism graduates every year.With the continuous development of the catering industry and the continuous escalation of people’s consumer demand,the professional requirements of the catering industry for catering service talents are also increasing.However,traditional teaching methods are still used in the current classroom teaching of tourism majors in secondary vocational schools,which causes the updating of students’ classroom knowledge to be unable to keep pace with the rapid development of the catering industry.The talents trained in the tourism major of secondary vocational schools are far below the requirements of the catering industry.The course "Food Service and Management" is the core professional course for tourism majors in secondary vocational schools,and its teaching quality directly affects students’ comprehensive professional abilities.In view of this,this research is based on humanism,constructivism,mastery of learning theory,and adopts a variety of research methods to carry out the application research of the blended teaching model in the teaching of the "catering service and management" course of the secondary vocational tourism major.Firstly,this research is based on the analysis of the current situation of curriculum teaching,following teaching principles,and constructing a blended teaching model.Secondly,in the teaching practice of the tourism professional class in secondary vocational schools,,the blended teaching model is used and the effect of implementation is studied.Finally,based on the evaluation of the implementation effect of the blended teaching model,the research conclusions are drawn.Through research,this research has drawn the following conclusions:(1)The blended teaching model is effective for the teaching of the "Catering Service and Management" course in the tourism major of secondary vocational education,and the blended teaching model has a significant impact on improving students’ classroom participation and other aspects;(2)The blended teaching model should include front-end analysis,teaching resource integration,teaching process design,teaching evaluation design and other links.
