With the introduction of policies related to labor education in the new period,the importance of labor education has been further emphasized.To carry out labor education in kindergartens conforms to the requirements of national policies,it’s important and feasible.This study aims to understand the current situation and problems of labor education in kindergartens in Changsha area,analyze the factors affecting labor education in kindergartens,and explore the countermeasures to optimize labor education in various aspects.This study attempts to compile a self-made questionnaire.Firstly,the dimensions of the questionnaire are theoretically constructed on the basis of summarizing and sorting out relevant literature.Secondly,the indicators were improved based on interviews and expert guidance.Finally,the Questionnaire on the Status Quo of Kindergarten Labor Education was compiled,with good reliability and validity.In this study,questionnaire survey is the main method,interview and observation are the auxiliary methods.533 preschool teachers were selected from 40 kindergartens of different types in urban and rural areas of Changsha to conduct a survey,16 teachers were selected for in-depth interview,and 4 kindergartens were selected for observation,so as to understand the current situation and influencing factors of kindergarten labor education in Changsha.The survey shows that: first,the kindergarten teachers in Changsha area have different understanding of the importance and connotation of kindergarten labor education.Second,the content of kindergarten labor education is closely related to children’s life.Third,the ways of kindergarten labor education implementation are flexible and diverse.Fourth,there are differences in the guarantee conditions of kindergarten labor education.Fifth,kindergarten labor education has achieved some practical results.Based on demographic variables,the difference analysis of kindergarten labor education in Changsha shows that there are differences among preschool teachers with different teaching ages,educational and professional backgrounds in various dimensions of labor education,and there are differences between urban and rural kindergartens,public and private kindergartens,as well as among classes of different ages in kindergarten labor education in Changsha.The following problems exist in kindergarten labor education in Changsha.First,the content of kindergarten labor education is lack of planning and full of arbitrariness.Second,the implementation of kindergarten labor education lacks system and condition guarantee.Third,the practice of kindergarten labor education can not be fully implemented.Four,children lack the initiative to participate in labor,labor education home cooperation is not good.Through the analysis of the problems of kindergarten labor education in Changsha area,it is found that the relevant policies guiding kindergarten labor education are not clear in Changsha,and the kindergarten labor education is affected by traditional cultural concept and public opinion,teachers’ education quality,kindergartens’ emphasis and parents’ consciousness and methods of labor education.In order to improve the kindergarten labor education in Changsha,this study tries to put forward optimization suggestions.First,the government should expand propaganda,guidance and investment to implement kindergarten labor education.Second,kindergartens should enhance the effect of labor education according to the characteristics of children’s labor.Third,parents should change their concept of labor education and promote family labor education.
