Study On The Social Adaptation Of New Citizens Released By Social Work

Relocation is a poverty alleviation measure to help people in poor mountainous areas get rid of poverty and become rich.At present,the whole relocation task has been completed.More than 9.6 million poor farmers have moved out of the mountains and moved into new houses,becoming "new citizens" in cities.After relocation,the infrastructure,development environment and production resources have been further improved and promoted for them.But at the same time,their housing environment,living habits,production mode have changed,resulting in the phenomenon that new citizens can not adapt to city life well in city.The good social adaptation of new citizens in city is not only the embodiment of their happiness of life,but also the basis and guarantee of resettling communities to build a harmonious community,and is also the inspection and embodiment of the quality of the relocation project for poverty alleviation in inhospitable areas.Based on this background,the study takes the new citizens of Y community,w County,Guizhou Province as the research object,through the way of questionnaire survey,interviews and field observation to understand the problems existing in the process of social adaptation of new citizens.It is found that the performance of the new citizens in daily life,psychology,social network and social support were not ideal after they move into city community.Social workers intervene in the new citizens with the method of community work,through carry out four stages of community activities to promote the social adaptation of new citizens after they move into urban communities.In the process of intervention,their household sanitation and community environment have been improved,the interaction and communication between neighbors have been increased,the participation in community have been enhanced,set a neighborhood support network of new citizens,and trengthens the self-identity,gradually produces a sense of belonging to the community.As a whole,the intervention of community activities improved the social adaptation of new citizens in city community and the quality of life,which plays an important role in promoting the construction of resettlement communities.
