In recent years,the kindergarten art appreciation education has been going on,the kindergarten art appreciation activity is an important part of the kindergarten art education,but also a relatively weak part of the kindergarten art education,there are some urgent problems in the activity design,organization and implementation.In this paper,the Visual Thinking Strategies is applied to the children’s art appreciation activities in large classes to explore its feasibility and effectiveness in art appreciation activities.This study takes the senior kindergarten of X kindergarten as the research object,and uses the method of action research to study the application of Visual Thinking Strategies in the large class art appreciation activities of kindergarten.First,the researchers understand the status quo of class art appreciation activities through observation and interview,and analyze the problems existing in the class art appreciation activities.In view of the problems found,combined with the characteristics of Visual Thinking Strategies to organize a large class of children art appreciation activities.This research carried out three rounds of actions,and each round of actions was implemented according to the paradigm of "plan-action-investigation-reflection".Action in the first round main appreciate with animals as the theme of the works of fine art,help the teachers and children are familiar with VTS teaching process,the main appreciation with characters as the theme of the second round of action art,to promote to discuss,in the third round of action mainly appreciate to life story as the theme of art,promote the children to express themselves.Each of the three rounds of action is based on the problems in the previous round of action to make a new plan and implement,and constantly solve the problems in practice.The research results show that Visual Thinking Strategies can be applied to the senior kindergarten’s art appreciation activities,and can improve the problems existing in the current senior kindergarten’s art appreciation activities to a certain extent,and promote the development of teachers and children.This study puts forward specific suggestions on the application of Visual Thinking Strategies in art appreciation activities,and expects to provide operational reference for front-line teachers to carry out art appreciation activities with Visual Thinking Strategies.
