Due to psychological and physiological characteristics of female college students in China,leading to its current mental health situation is particularly serious,and become a kind of generalized problems in today’s society,boys,girls body weak characteristics is more apparent,especially the physiological period fatigue phenomenon,appear easily affected by the outside world was prone to emotional ups and downs;Psychology,’s ability to withstand stress is lesser,can appear even psychological barriers,such as anxiety mood be agitated for this case,many sports take the corresponding measures,but there are still insufficient,the study found that the directional cross-country sports can positive thinking to explore in the movement,decisive decision-making,in promoting participants physical quality at the same time,also can cultivate the ability of analyzing and resolving problems people in this paper,we study aimed to according to the project characteristics of directional cross-country and female college students.Research methods:This research mainly USES the literature material method,interview method,questionnaire survey method,experimental method and other research methods,70 female college students in north China institute of science and technology as the subjects,experimental period of 12 weeks,a directional cross-country course and 2 times per week about extra-curricular training,directional cross-country content on average during the 90 minutes,each class hour long experiment questionnaire is used by Chinese college students mental health scale,the psychological comparing the experimental data obtained before and after the experiment,analysis the impact of the sport to their psychological health.Research results:1.Before the experiment,the mental health status of the experimental subjects was different from that of the national average,and the mental health status of the experimental subjects was slightly lower than that of the national college students in terms of individual factors.2.After six weeks,there was a significant improvement in scores of some factors,such as depression,social withdrawal,and low self-esteem,while there was no significant change in other factors.3.After 12 weeks of the experiment,there were obvious changes in scores in somatization,social aggression,forced impact,dependence,etc.,and especially significant changes in scores in depression,paranoia,inferiority,social withdrawal,etc.Conclusion:1.It is found that female college students lack due understanding and attention to mental health education and avoid or do not fully cooperate with the investigation of mental health.Lack of mental health counseling and diagnosis and treatment of consciousness and initiative.2.This study proves that orienteering teaching plays an important role in the construction of college physical education curriculum.3.Orienteering exercise can effectively improve the mental health status of female college students.Orienteering exercise can promote the depression factor,inferiority factor,social withdrawal factor and so on.Suggestion:1.School is a place where students study and life,to infiltrate psychological health education in colleges and universities classroom,more attention to physical education in colleges and universities to promote college students’ mental health,according to the existing school education resources are very helpful for the physical education of college students’ physical and mental health.2.In terms of college sports curriculum design,to design the both can let students actively participate in class and can effectively improve students’ comprehensive quality to improve the teaching of flexibility,improve training interest degree,break the simplex teaching mode,create a relaxed and cheerful.3.Classroom environment Setting proper orienteering training competition can arouse the interest of more students,make them take the initiative to participate in it,not only get physical exercise,but also make their comprehensive quality get many aspects of improvement.
