| Memory is the basis for the individual’s advanced cognitive abilities such as thinking and imagination, and plays a very important role in the individual’s mental health.Declarative memory refers to the memory of the description of the relevant events and facts, such as common sense of life and various knowledge learned from books belong to this type of memory.Consolidated memories are not permanently fixed and unchangeable, but after reactivation they become unstable again, which can be intervened and modified. After reconsolidation, the unstable state returns to stability. This phenomenon is called reconsolidation..Studies have shown that exercise plays an extremely important role in people’s daily life and can actively promote cognitive function in the brain. At present, most of the studies on exercise on memory use adults as subjects to explore the effect of exercise on working memory and other memories, while there are relatively few studies on the effect of low-intensity exercise on declarative memory. So what is the effect of participating in a low-intensity exercise on the declarative memory of elementary school students? The research on reconsolidation is mainly based on fear memory, and there are few studies on declarative memory, especially with primary school students as subjects;and there are relatively few studies on the combination of exercise and reconsolidation. The effect of high-intensity exercise on reconsolidation. What is the effect of participating in a low-intensity exercise on the process of declarative memory reconsolidation in primary school students? No research has yet explored this issue in depth.Experiment 1 selected 50 primary school students as subjects and randomly divided them into exercise group and rest group,25 in each group.Using a single-factor between-subject design, the two groups of subjects studied 10 two-character neutral words three times after low-intensity exercise and rest respectively.Accuracy of free recall and recognition. In the test, the correct rate of free recall in the exercise group was significantly greater than that in the rest group, and there was no significant difference in the correct rate of re-recognition.In experiment 2,100 primary school students were selected as subjects and randomly divided into extraction exercise group, extraction non-exercise group,non-extraction exercise group, and non-extraction non-exercise group, with 25 students in each group. On the basis of Experiment 1,low-intensity exercise was combined with reconsolidation to explore whether low-intensity exercise could better update memory.A mixed design of 4(groups: extract exercise, extract non-exercise,non-extraction exercise,non-extraction non-exercise)× 3(days: first day, second day, third day)was used. The independent variable 1 has four levels: extracting exercise, extracting no exercise, not extracting exercise, and not extracting no exercise, which is designed between subjects;independent variable two has three levels: the first day,the second day,and the third day, which are Within-subject design;the dependent variable was free recall test scores. In the third day test, the invasion rate of list2 to list1 in the extraction exercise group was significantly greater than that of the other three groups.Based on the results of the two experiments, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Low intensity exercise can positively promote declarative memory of primary school students.(2)Low intensity exercise can interfere with reconsolidation process and potentially renew declarative memory of primary school students. |
