Cooperative learning method is one of the major educational reforms.Group game competition method,TGT for short.The teaching mode emphasizes group learning,team division and cooperation,working hard for the same goal,and finally confirming individual rewards and punishments.TGT believes that allowing students with unequal academic achievements to compete is not challenging for students with good grades,and students with low technical level will feel inferior and even helpless.Only students with similar academic achievements compete can stimulate students’ learning motivation.Because the students’ grades and abilities are constantly changing,the members of the competition group also need to group according to the students’ recent academic achievements,and always maintain the principle of "heterogeneity within the group and homogeneity between groups" to compete,so as to achieve fair competition.In order to study the application effect of group game competition method in college tennis elective teaching and effectively carry out tennis teaching activities,I searched on CNKI with the keyword of "group game competition method",and only found a few documents,especially in the field of sports,which means that group game competition method has high research value.I used the methods of literature,questionnaire,expert interview,mathematical statistics and experiment to write the paper.At the same time,I also consulted experts and professors in the field of physical education.Then it studies the application effect of TGT teaching method in college tennis teaching,and analyzes whether it will have an impact on College Students’ tennis learning interest,tennis technical level and interpersonal communication ability.In this study,40 students from the 2019 tennis elective class of Zhengzhou normal university were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group adopts the group game competition method for teaching.First,the teachers give a collective teaching,and then divide the students into learning groups according to the results of the presentiment test.After each week or section,they will carry out competition activities(for the learning content of each week or unit).The control group used the traditional teaching method,which was first explained and demonstrated by the teacher,then practiced-the teacher corrected-continued to practice,and finally summarized.After 12 weeks of teaching experiment(two classes a week,8:10-11:50),the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Group game competition method in college tennis teaching,after the experiment,the students’ physical quality has indeed improved,but the improvement is not very obvious.(2)Group game competition method in the teaching of special tennis classes in Colleges and universities,first adopts group cooperative learning,and the students conduct game competition after learning,which greatly mobilizes the students’ classroom participation and students’ more active learning,so it improves the students’ interest in learning tennis.(3)Group game competition method can improve students’ tennis skills faster,better and easier in the teaching of college tennis special elective classes.(4)The group game competition method pays attention to cooperative learning and mutual communication between students,which makes students have a good psychological state,so as to improve students’ interpersonal communication ability.
