Basketball as a confrontational team sport.The cooperation between athletes and athletes,and the cooperation between coaches and athletes are all necessary conditions to achieve excellent results.In the training process,the coach is the leader and commander.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance to study the relationship between coaches’ leadership behavior,athletes’ athletic motivation and training satisfaction.This research has important theoretical and practical significance for exploring the development of basketball and basketball training methods,and improving the athletic performance and training efficiency of college basketball players.The research object of this study is the influence of the leadership behavior of the coaches of college basketball teams in Liaoning Province on the athletic motivation and training satisfaction of the athletes.Moreover,Liaoning University basketball team players were selected as the subjects of investigation.This study used the literature method,collects and organizes relevant research results in China and abroad,and provides a theoretical basis for this research.This study used a questionnaire to investigate leadership behavior,motor motivation,and motor satisfaction.This study used mathematical statistics and logical analysis methods to analyze the data collected by the survey.The results of the study are as follows:(1)There is a significant correlation between coaches’ leadership behavior and each of its dimensions and athletes’ motivation and each of its dimensions.(p <.001).Coaches’ leadership behavior and each of its dimensions were significantly associated with athlete training satisfaction and each of its dimensions(p <.001).There was a significant correlation between exercise motivation and each of its dimensions and training satisfaction and each of its dimensions.(p<.001).(2)The model explanatory power of the regression analysis of coaches’ leadership behavior and athletes’ sports motivation in this study was 97.3%(R2=.973),F=3109.207(p=.000,p<.000).That is,coaches’ leadership behaviors and each dimension have different degrees of significant impact on athletes’ motor motivation.The model explanatory power of the regression analysis of coach leadership behavior and athlete training satisfaction was 98.6%(R2=.986),F=6189.191(p=.000,p<.000).This shows that the coach’s leadership behavior and each dimension have different degrees of significant impact on athletes’ training satisfaction.(3)Using three-step regression analysis,the effect of athletes’ motivation on coaches’ leadership behavior and training satisfaction was verified.The results showed that linear regression equation coefficient C(t=176.422,p=0.000 < 0.01),linear regression equation coefficient A(t=124.923,p =0.000 < 0.01),linear regression equation coefficient B(t=131.073,p=0.000 < 0.01)and coefficient C ’(t=22.533,p=0.000 < 0.01)were highly significant,indicating that athletes’ motivation(M)partially mediated athletes’ training satisfaction(Y).The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The leadership behaviors of college basketball coaches in Liaoning Province are mostly democratic leadership behaviors,positive feedback leadership behaviors and social support behaviors.The main influence of the sports motivation of college basketball team players in Liaoning Province comes from the externalization principle and the internal motivation.The status quo of athletes’ training satisfaction is mainly reflected in the relatively high organizational satisfaction and coaching satisfaction of athletes,but relatively low self-satisfaction.(2)Coaches’ leadership behavior has significant influence on athletes’ motivation.Coaches give timely evaluation and psychological support to athletes in the process of training and competition to promote the development of athletes’ intrinsic motivation.At the same time,it can help athletes to satisfy their self-esteem and sense of honor,realize their individual self-worth,and help athletes to externalize their internal motivation and stimulate their external motivation.Coaches’ leadership behavior has positive influence on athletes’ training satisfaction.Coaches can help athletes fully understand their own situation,have a specific understanding and clear understanding of their own physical and psychological conditions,as well as the role positioning of the team,constantly discover their progress,strengthen their group responsibilities,and thus improve their satisfaction.(3)Sports motivation plays a partial mediating role between leadership behavior and training satisfaction,that is,coaches’ leadership behavior can improve athletes’ training satis faction by promoting the positive development of athletes’ sports motivation.
