The Analysis Of Social Work Services For The Growing Of The Youth In Single Parent Family

The topic of youth development has always been a social focus.However,the study of young people in the single parent families is slightly inadequate,especially in their growth needs.There have been many researches on children of single parent families in the field of sociology and psychology,but most of them are mainly concerned with the negative impact of the division of family relations on their children,focused on the theoretical level of the problems of the children in single-parent families.Although the studies in social work about the growth of single parent family have gradually increased in recent years,most of the scholars explore in the perspective which from the "dilemma" or "problem".In order to explore how social work can better meet the growth needs of single-parent families,improve the service efficiency of social work in single-parent families,and rich the professional theory of social work research and education simultaneously,this article combined with quantitative research and qualitative research,based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs,analyzed the young people’s growth needs of single parent family on Z Street and the status of social work involved from the social work perspective.Summed up the method that led by The Strengths Perspective and Social Support Network theory,combined the case work,group work and community work ’s modes to serve single parent families.From the view of “demand" and "advantage",to stimulate the potential of youth and their families which with single parent,while helping single-parent teenagers build a well-function social support network to achieve the goal of promoting their healthy growth.
