Preschool stage is the formation stage of children’s early mathematical ability,preschool children’s mathematics education has been deeply concerned by researchers and front-line teachers.Research says that it is far from enough to develop preschool children’s mathematics ability by the kindergarten one-side support as the kindergarten mathematics courses continentally developed.It needs the support of various environments,and continuous input of material and time.At this point,family education has great advantages.But in reality,we can see many parents’ educational concept are backward,and they also lack educational experience,so they can not make full use of the advantages of family environment to promote the development of children’s mathematical ability.In this paper,we take 126 large class children in a mathematics characteristic kindergarten in Shanghai as the research object,investigates and analyzes the current situation of family mathematics education of large class children through scientific investigation methods such as questionnaire and interview,and finds many positive aspects,including high quality of parents and certain guiding ability;Pay attention to early childhood mathematics education and make good use of various resources and ways;Be able to actively carry out family mathematics activities with children,and maintain a certain frequency and duration.There are also some typical problems:lack of understanding of children’s age characteristics,and the educational concept needs to be updated;The tendency of primary school is obvious,and the content and way are too single;Lack of appropriate educational strategies,and the guidance level needs to be further improved.In view of the problems and puzzles of parents in the process of education,this study supplements the content of family mathematics activities.It also gives the support of corresponding guidance strategies from the creation of family mathematics environment and the delivery of materials,so as to help parents better understand the core experience of children’s mathematics education at this age,guide parents to carry out family mathematics activities more scientifically and effectively,achieve home co education and jointly promote the development of children’s mathematics ability.
