Due to the lack of auditory information input,hearing-impaired children may have abnormal development of their speech system and cognitive system, which may affect their ability of articulation. At present, there is a lack of a complete understanding of the concept of articulatory phonology and a lack of understanding of phonological disorders in hearing-impaired children, which leads to the intervention of hearing-impaired children focusing on articulatory therapy rather than phonological therapy.Based on this, this study will explore the characteristics of the articulately and phonological system of hearing-impaired children from two dimensions:acquisition of phonemes and phonological process, combining phonological therapy based on speech movement training with phonological therapy focusing on the establishment of phonological cognition, and referring to the intervention model of cyclic therapy, cyclic phonological therapy is proposed,to verify the therapeutic effect of this therapy in the intervention of articulation and phonology in hearing impaired children. In the first study,31 hearing-impaired children and 31 normal children were tested on the articulately and phonological assessment tool for Mandarin articulation in preschool children. The results show that, compared to the average child, the articulatory motor ability and mastery of phonological system of hearing impaired children were significantly worse than those of normal children. The second study was the intervention study on improving the articulatory ability and phonological system of hearing impaired children by using cyclic phonological therapy.Based on the articulately and phonological features of hearing impaired children in study 1,combined with the concepts of traditional articulatory therapy, phonological therapy and cyclic therapy, the content and procedure of cyclic phonological therapy were established. In this study,18 hearing-impaired children aged 3-6 years were divided into two groups: experimental group and control group. The results showed that the experimental group had significant improvement in phonemes acquired ability and phonological performance. In the control group, only the correct rate of initials, the total number of phonological processes and the number of structural process were significantly improved, there was no significant change in other test indexes. And the experimental group in the two dimensions of progress significantly higher than the control group. The results show that cyclic phonological therapy can improve the whole articulation ability of hearing impaired children to a greater extent. The innovation of this paper is to propose a intervention strategy, which starts from two dimensions of phoneme acquisition and phonological process, absorbing the features of phonological therapy, cyclic approach and traditional articulatory therapy to promote children’s whole-body acquisition of articulatory phonemes and to establish correct phonological process model.
