| The museum school program is a program form that relies on mutual exchange of resources between the museum and school to carry out educational innovation and achieve educational goals by creating objects,exhibitions or museums.In order to promote the high-quality implementation of the museum school program,give full play to the popular science education function of the museum as an informal educational institution,and improve the quality of education,this study aims to build a localized evaluation model for the museum school program,and takes the S museum school program cooperated by the S Nature Museum and five schools in S city as an example to carry out evaluation,so as to understand the implementation status of museum school program and puts forward suggestions for the future development of the museum school program in China.At first,this study based on the theoretical basis of evaluation model of "contentinput-process-product"(CIPP),refers to other related models and researches on museum evaluation to construct a museum school program evaluation model covering three dimensions."Support dimension" includes program funding security,program facilities conditions and program external support."Implementation dimension" includes museum creation、exhibition creation、object creation、museum process、object-oriented student products、experience-oriented student products and time spent learning in museums."Product dimension" includes eight subdimensions: promoting students’ authentic learning to improve their learning ability 、 developing science teaching based on inquiry to innovate teaching mode、addressing science standards、connecting the content to the natural world、fostering students’ interest in science and technology、training teachers to learn abundant scientific knowledge、integrating interdisciplinary courses to form a museum school curriculum and encouraging students to make positive decisions.This study designs research tools on the basis of the completed museum school program evaluation model,and takes the S museum school program as an example to carry out evaluation.The researcher designs questionnaires based on the "support dimension" to understand the basic situation of S museum school program,and observes the implementation process of S museum school program based on the "implementation dimension" to understand the implementation of museum school curriculum.In addition,the research mainly compiles two versions of interview outline for teachers and students based on the "product dimension" to enrich and supplement the assessment data of the whole stage.The result of research shows:(1)The S museum school program basically meets the standards,but there are still some schools whose museum space has not been completed、specimen exhibition has not been introduced、the time for teachers and students to study in the museum is short,and teachers from different disciplines jointly design interdisciplinary courses,but the museum school curriculum system has not been formed.(2)Curriculum quality,museum-school communication and teacher initiative are the main factors influencing the implementation of S museum school program.In addition,the epidemic situation is also an objective factor that affects students to carry out museum study to a certain extent.Based on the above conclusions,this study puts forward the following suggestions for improving the educational quality of the museum school program:(1)Strengthen communication between museum and school to promote mutual resources.(2)Improve the quality of museum school curriculum and form a museum school curriculum system.(3)Strengthen teachers’ initiative and improve program efficiency. |
