Research On Social Work Intervention In Entrepreneurship Service For People With Mental Disabilities

Due to their own and environmental obstacles restrict their better growth and life,it is difficult for them to adapt to the society,especially employment.Employment is the foundation of people’s livelihood,and entrepreneurship is one of the important forms of employment.People with mental disabilities belong to special social vulnerable groups.Providing entrepreneurship services for people with mental disabilities is not only conducive to solving their employment problems,but also can promote their adaptation to society.As a service activity to help people solve difficulties,enhance people’s living ability and promote people’s welfare,social work can promote the better development of entrepreneurship services for the disabled with its own professional theory and working methods.This paper takes people with mental disabilities as the research object,and studies and analyzes the practice of G social work organization’s intervention in entrepreneurship services for people with mental disabilities.In the practical process,G social work agency mainly uses group work method to explore the employment potential of people with mental disabilities,cultivate their entrepreneurial skills,drive them to participate in community service,promote them to adapt to society and realize their own value,and help solve the employment problem of people with mental disabilities.Based on data access,interviews and observations,guided by the theory of energy enhancement,It is found that G institution has improved the employment and entrepreneurship awareness,the employment and entrepreneurship skill level,the self-efficacy,the pressure of family members and the ways of social work to intervene in the employment of people with mental disabilities.At the same time,social work agencies also have the following outstanding problems in the practice of providing entrepreneurship services for people with mental disabilities through projects: first,the funding source of social work agency links is limited;second,the employment skills training resources of social work links are limited;third,People with mental disabilities rely heavily on social workers.Based on these problems,this thesis puts forward the following suggestions:advocating social support,enhancing the practical ability of social workers and promoting the family members of people with mental disabilities to participate in entrepreneurship.
