Most minority language and cultural heritage is fading away under the inlfuence of theimpact of globalization, modernization and the language of mainstream culture in the presentfast developing digital information technology age. Minority language has become anecessary academic research subject. China is a multi-ethnic country and minorities have theright to learn their native language. At the same time, the state has issued a lot of policies toprotect minority culture and the minority culture can develop and be inherited well with theprotection of the law. Chinese textbooks play an important way in the national language’sinheritance and development. Chinese textbooks are the main bridge of language learning.The core factors of the national culture are passed on to the descendants through the languagetextbooks directly. In view of this, this paper studies the ethnic characteristics of Mongolianlanguage textbooks of the primary school starting from analyzing the text and illustrations.This paper is divided into five parts: Chapter one,the preface; Chapter two, the overviewof primary Mongolian textbook; Chapter three, the understanding of the Mongolian traditionalculture; Chapter four, national characteristics of Mongolian textbooks’ analysis and relfect;Chapter ifve, the primary problems that exists in Mongolian textbooks and some suggestions.Chapter preface part covers the origin of the study, review of related domestic andforeign research,research signiifcance, research methods and research questions. In mainnational language environment, we are experiencing the situation of the minority language.According to statistics, there are a few national languages are in disappear every day. It isnecessary to analyze language textbooks of primary school because of ourself responsibilityand the urgent situation of national language. This article mainly uses the text analytic methodand interview method. The second part introduces simply from the elementary schoollanguage textbook, historical development and the current primary school language textbooksituation. It gives a whole introduction roughly for the current primary school languagetextbooks and the study of ethnic characteristics. The third part, combing the origin of theMongolian traditional c’ulture, development process,the Mongolian culture core factors inthe development of national culture, then sums up the research achievements and personalidea of Mongolian culture. The fourth part mainly discusses the process of determination oftext analysis dimensions for the primary school language textbooks. Elementary schoolMongolian language textbooks text analysis dimension refers to the achievements of manyresearchers and their detailed methods, then determine the speciifc dimensions for analysisfrom the perspective of cultural studies and receive the text content of Mongolian elements of statistics and analysis of the text content of text and illustrations for the elementaryschool Chinese textbooks which refers to how to embody the Mongolian culture. The iffthpart puts forward the problems existing in the ethnic characteristics about the elementary ofChinese textbooks school receiving the text content of text and illustrations, and puts forwardsome suggestions. In the end,it is believed that the minority language textbooks should notonly contain the central part of the national culture but also the world culture, the excellentChinese culture and the mainstream culture factors of new age.Research related to primary Mongolian textbooks is still in its infancy, the theoreticalfoundation is weak, the reference is limited, and the in-depth study is diiffcult. Mongolianlanguage textbook research involves the Mongolian history and c’ulture. Its hard to classiyf somuch information. The translation between Mongolian and Chinese is very dififcult. It isbound hitting bumps in research,we should explore in confusion.
