Abstract/Summary:
With the development of the information age,as the backbone of revitalizing rural education,rural teachers’ information literacy level will have an important impact on the quality of rural education.Therefore,the study of rural teachers’ information literacy is of great significance.Under the background of information age,what are the contents of rural teachers’ information literacy? What’s the status quo? What are the problems and reasons?How to improve rural teachers’ information literacy? At present,there are few studies on this analysis.Most of them take urban teachers as the research object,pay more attention to practice than theory,and lack academic analysis,so it is difficult to answer the above questions.Based on this,this study adopts the research idea of "expounding the content structure-exploring and analyzing the current situation-detailed investigation of in-depth problems-analyzing the reasons-putting forward promotion strategies",combined with the knowledge gap theory of communication,and using the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire and interview,this study studies the current situation,problems,causes and Countermeasures of rural teachers’ information literacy in the information age.Based on the knowledge gap theory and combined with the content structure of teachers’ information literacy,this study analyzes the current situation and problems of rural teachers’ information literacy.Based on the investigation of different subjects,it is found that the overall level of rural teachers’ information literacy in China is good,but the development is uneven.From the perspective of access channel,the hardware support of rural teachers’ information literacy is good,but the construction of information environment is insufficient;From the perspective of use channel,the motivation of using information technology is strong,but the use ability and content are not good;From the perspective of knowledge gap,the overall level of information knowledge is good,but the training opportunities are uneven and the training effect is poor.In addition,through the difference analysis,it is found that there are significant differences in information use ability and knowledge acquisition of rural teachers of different ages and educational backgrounds.Further based on the investigation and summary,there are some problems in rural teachers’ information literacy,such as insufficient support for information-based teaching environment,lack of their own information literacy development planning,different levels of use ability,lack of training opportunities and so on.The reasons for these problems are: first,the subjects do not understand the importance of rural teachers’ information literacy;Second,the construction of school information environment is insufficient;Third,information literacy training is lack of perfect mechanism.Therefore,this study puts forward the promotion strategies of rural teachers’ information literacy from three aspects: subject consciousness,school environment construction and training mechanism.At the level of subject consciousness,we should cultivate rural teachers’ awareness of self-improvement of information literacy;The school management should enhance the understanding of the importance of teachers’ information literacy;Education management departments should pay more attention to rural teachers’ information literacy.In the construction of school information environment,by establishing a team of professional and technical personnel,we can ensure information-based teaching,improve the utilization rate of facilities and equipment,optimize the allocation of resources,and escort the information-based teaching of rural teachers.In terms of training mechanism,we should pay attention to the main needs of rural teachers,innovate models,pay attention to needs,and adopt phased training;Enrich the content and pay attention to the local background in rural areas;Pay attention to the subject,pay attention to self planning and summary;Carry out school-based training in rural schools and pay attention to individual differences.
