China's economy has entered a new normal,and the extensive development model is no longer suitable for the current form.Adjusting the industrial structure,transforming the economic growth mode,increasing total factor productivity,and improving the quality and efficiency of economic growth have become the key to sustained economic growth.Shandong Province is a major province in the equipment manufacturing industry,with sales revenue of 3.86 trillion yuan in 2017,ranking third in the country after Guangdong and Jiangsu.It is an important pillar industry in Shandong Province,but many problems have emerged during development,such as Shandong The provincial equipment manufacturing industry is large but not strong,the growth stamina is insufficient,the environmental regulations are becoming more and more severe,the industry is less competitive,the product technology content is low,and the production methods are backward.Therefore,by measuring the total factor productivity of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong Province,finding a way to improve the total factor productivity of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong Province,with a view to improving the development quality of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong Province and transforming development momentum To achieve high-quality development.Based on the research on the relevant theories of total factor productivity,analyzes the slowdown in growth rate,low research investment intensity,and transformation of scientific and technological achievements faced by the current equipment manufacturing industry.Secondly,the DEA-Malmquist index method was used to measure the total factor productivity and its decomposition index of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong Province.A comparative analysis was carried out according to the overall-sub-industry-technical intensity classification.The total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry is an upward trend,and the main source of growth is technological progress;the development of each sub-sector of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong is relatively balanced by industry,and the gap between the industries is not large;Productivity performance is different.The total factor productivity of low-tech manufacturing and low-medium manufacturing is basically the same.Compared with the other two industries,the highest is the high-tech manufacturing,followed by the lowest medium-high manufacturing.Through the panel data by industry from 2004 to 2017,using a fixed effect model,we empirically studied the industry concentration(CR),marketization level(Market),profitability(Profit),labor quality(Labor)and R&D investment(R&D)The impact on total factor productivity and its decomposition index.The regression results show that industry concentration,profitability,labor quality have played asignificant role in promoting the total factor productivity of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong Province.The regression result of the marketization level is not significant,and has little effect on the total factor productivity of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong Province.Finally,based on the above research,the countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the overall productivity of Shandong's equipment manufacturing industry are put forward.In Chapter 5,this article uses the fixed-effect model multiple times with total factor productivity,technological progress index,technological efficiency,pure technological efficiency,and scale efficiency.By comparing the regression results of each factor,the path of the influencing factors is determined.Marketization index,labor quality,and scientific research input have an impact on total factor productivity through technological progress,rather than technical efficiency.On the contrary,industry concentration improves total factor productivity through technological efficiency.The level of profit will promote both technological progress and technological efficiency.The influence factor is relatively small.
