Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On Total Factor Productivity Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry

With the continuous development of Internet and other network technologies,scientific and technological revolution have made breakthrough progress.Human society has fully entered into the era of digital economy,and the new advantages of digital economy are constantly emerging,providing a powerful impetus for the high-quality progress of traditional industries.Digital economy is an inevitable way for China's manufacturing industry's growing stronger.As the mother of industry,the digital economy level of equipment manufacturing industry(EMI)is an essential important guarantee for industrial technological progress.This study firstly reviewed the literature on the impact of digital economy on total factor productivity of manufacturing industry.Then Measuring and analyzing the changable data of total factor productivity of the equipment manufacturing industry and subdivided industries from 2005 to 2018.Secondly,in-depth study was made on the internal mechanism of the digital economy on the improvement of economic benefits of the equipment manufacturing industry.In addition,this study set up the index model of digital economy,quantitative evaluation method with entropy method concerns the digital economy level.From the perspective of total factor productivity(TFP),this paper collected parallel data of six subsectors of EMI from 2005 to 2018 and studied empirically the impact of digital economy on the TFP of EMI.On the strength of the above survey,this paper concluded that the average TFP of China's equipment manufacturing industry was 1.171,and the national equipment manufacturing industry has increased by 17.1% during the sample period,showing a great improvement.Through digital technology and digital infrastructure construction,digital economy has an impact on basic research,core technology knowledge spillover management,decision-making,production and sales of enterprises,and played a role in promoting technological progress and technological efficiency respectively.The empirical study showed that the digital economy significantly improved the total factor productivity of China's equipment manufacturing industry,and the improvement of the technical efficiency of the decomposed item was mainly due to the scale effect of the digital economy,while the influence of pure technical efficiency was weak.Finally,from the perspective of digital economy,some countermeasures were given to improve the TFP of EMI.
