Purpose:Insomnia is one of the common symptoms of AIT,but so far there is no specific research on AIT associated with insomnia. This study is dedicated to investigating the prevalence of insomnia in AIT patients with normal thyroid function and analysing the distribution of TCM syndromes, expecting to be helpful treatment of the disease.Material and method:Use face-to-face questionnaire to collect basic information of patients, fill in Pittsburgh Sleep Index(PSQI)and record thyroid function and thyroid auto-antibodies levels. The above information was sorted into a database and analyzed with SPSS 26.0 software.Results:1.A total of 235 patients who met the inclusion criteria were included in the study. The number of AIT patients who combine with insomnia is 106,accounted for 90.57%,among which mild insomnia accounted for 90.57%2.The top four syndromes in AIT patients combined with insomnia were Qi deficiency syndrome(66.04%),Liver depression syndrome(64.15%),and Yang deficiency syndrome(53.77%),and Spleen deficiency syndrome(48.11%).3.Between AIT patients with insomnia and those without insomnia, there were differences in TCM syndromes distribution:Yin deficiency syndrome(p=0.022<0.05),Yang deficiency syndrome(p=0.000<0.01),liver depression syndrome(p=0.000<0.01),and phlegm turbidity syndrome(p=0.006<0.01).The frequency was higher in the distributions of Yin deficiency,Yang deficiency, liver depression, and phlegm turbidity among AIT patients with insomnia.4.Compared with those not insomnia, patients with insomnia show lower lower FT4in blood stasis syndrome(p=0.014<0.05),those who are diagnosed shows lower FT4levels than those not.5.Compared with those not insomnia, patients with insomnia show higher Tg Ab levels in Qi deficiency syndrome,Yang deficiency syndrome,Kidney deficiency syndrome and blood stasis syndrome(p<0.05).6.In AIT patients with insomnia, the PQSI of those who are diagnosed Kidney deficiency is higher than those without kidney deficiency(p=0.048<0.05).Conclusion:The basis of the combination of AIT and insomnia is qi deficiency and we infer that the pathogenesis is mostly related to the liver depression and spleen deficiency.Spleen deficiency will influence the normal relationship of slpeen and liver, cause the deficiency of nutrient qi and defensive qi,which lead to the occurrence of insomnia.
