| The souse text of this report is the annual report issued by The Hartford Financial Services Group in its 2018 fiscal year,and the author will choose the first part as the research object,which presents the main risk factors the company exposed to in its operation,such as financial environment,corporate business and legal risks.As the content-focused text,the coming problems are characterized by semantic,parenthesis and long sentences' translation.The Skopos theory and communicative translation theory can be used to guide this research with the purpose of the target text's communicative efficacy,accuracy and understandability.This translation practice and reporting writing have taught the author that translation methods such as amplification,omission,conversion and sentence organization shall be guided by the purpose of translation and Chinese grammar.And it will be an honour if someone can learn something from this report. |
