Research By The Gannan Delegation Of The Northwest Military And Political Commission

China is a unified multi-ethnic country,and ethnic issues have always been an essential part of state affairs.It has always been a major issue relevant to social stability and national development.Since the founding of the Communist Party of China,party and state leaders attached great importance to ethnic issues,and gradually developed ethnic policies and working methods with Chinese characteristics.In the early days of the founding China,due to the tension of ethnic relations in the northwest region,the Northwest Military and Political Committee in order to convey the concern of the central government and Comrade Mao Zedong to the vast minority areas,vigorously publicized the Chinese ethnic policy,eliminate the estrangement,dredged the relations between the various ethnic groups,and solved the remaining forces of the Kuomintang that has been plagued in Gannan for a long time.So,the Northwest Military and Political Committee sent a delegation to Gannan in June 1952.The delegation consisted of two branches,each of which was divided into two teams,and the mission visited for five months.The article takes the Gannan delegation as a research object,and by collecting and collating a large amount of relevant information,intends to reappear the entire process of the delegation and discusses how it effected impact on the formulation and implementation of ethnic policies during the early period of The People's Republic of China.Research on this topic can provide new ideas for contemporary research,and have certain reference significance for the governance of ethnic minority areas,and provide useful reference for the formulation of ethnic policies and the solution of ethnic problems.The introductory part of this article mainly explains the reason and significance of choosing a topic,and reviews relevant profiles,and explains the research content and innovation of this thesis.The main body is from chapter one to chapter four.The first chapter introduces the establishment of the Northwest Military and Political Committee and its ethnic work.It introduces the establishment process organization setup,the personnel composition and contributions of ethnic work in the northwest district.The second chapter analyzes the reasons of delegation,including the strained ethnic relations before the founding of New China,and the incitement by the remaining forces of the Kuomintang,and conservative thinking of local people.The third chapter focuses on the main work of the delegation,including publicizing the ethnic policy of New China,annihilating the remaining forces of the Kuomintang and helping local governments.The fourth chapter analyzes the influence of the Gannan delegation sent by the Northwest Military and Political Committee.Through researching,the author found that the delegation vigorously promoted the national policy,carried out a large number of grassroots work,resolved the long-standing disputes between tribes,and so on.And it also solved the remaining forces of the Kuomintang in Gansu-Qinghai Region.And it has played a positive and crucial role on the majority of the Tibetan social stability and the building of political power of Gannan.
