Education is indispensable for the development of a country,social progress and national unity.Education is the foundation of a nation,education is the basis of human knowledge inheritance,and teacher education is the basis of group learning,However,China's normal education is the product of modern education,since the late Qing Dynasty,the new atmosphere of learning,new schools gradually into the country,the shortage of teachers seriously hindered the development of new education.Therefore,the most urgent task is to set up normal schools and train the primary and secondary teachers needed by the new education.Therefore,the modern normal education of China arises at the historic moment.Under such historical background,Guizhou Secondary Normal School was born and developed.During the period of the Republic of China,Guizhou Secondary Normal School expanded from only two normal schools at the very beginning to cover the whole province and played an important role in promoting the development of education in Guizhou during the period of the Republic of China.Based on the archives of Guizhou province,Guiyang municipal archives,Zunyi municipal archives,Rongjiang county archives,Liping county archives,Zhenyuan county archives and Guizhou Digital Library,this paper makes a detailed study of Guizhou Secondary Normal Schools in the period of the Republic of China.This paper analyzes the historical reasons and development process,and summarizes the laws and characteristics of its historical development.This paper is mainly discussed from the following six parts:The first part is the introduction,mainly on the significance of the research,research status,research ideas,research methods and shortcomings;The second part discusses the historical background of the development of Guizhou Secondary Normal School in the period of the Republic of China and summarizes the reasons and background of its development;The third part summarizes the historical development and evolution of Guizhou Secondary Normal School in the period of the Republic of China and the different modes of schooling;The fourth part studies the organizational structure,management system,education funds,staff management,student management and graduate employment service of Guizhou Secondary Normal School in the period of the Republic of China,and summarizes the general development of Guizhou Secondary Normal School in the period of the Republic of China;The fifth part mainly discusses the teaching activities of Guizhou Secondary Normal School in the period of the Republic of China from four aspects:training objectives,curriculum setting,teaching methods and teaching practice;The sixth part,through the overall analysis and research of Guizhou Secondary Normal School in the period of the Republic of China,summarizes its own characteristic of development,and combined with the current status of Guizhou normal education,puts forward some practical enlightenment.During the period of the Republic of China,Guizhou Secondary Normal School made great contributions to the economic and cultural development and talent training of Guizhou,and also provided certain historical experience and reference for the linkage development of Guizhou Secondary Normal School after the founding of New China.In a word,through the study of Guizhou Secondary Normal School in the period of the Republic of China,it is hoped that it can provide some reference for Guizhou normal education today.
