This essay uses the Chinese language teaching environment in Malaysia as the research background,combined with the author 's experience in teaching Chinese comprehensive courses at Northern University,a teaching site of the Confucius Institute of Chinese Languages,University of Malaya,Malaysia.The comprehensive Chinese elementary course studied in this article is mainly aimed at Chinese learners at Northern University.Based on the author's experience in teaching Chinese in Malaysia,combined with the task-based teaching philosophy of foreign language teaching circles,the basic principles of task-based courses are combined according to the specific characteristics of teaching objects.Designing the questionnaire,Investigate learners 'current status of Chinese learning and students' attitudes and needs for task-based teaching.Based on the questionnaire survey,the teaching design is combined with the teaching objectives and content of the local Chinese course.Through the implementation of teaching experiments,the analysis of the results of questionnaires and interviews.The task-based teaching method is introduced into the international Chinese teaching of Northern University,and it is expected that the current situation of teachers and learners who only pay attention to reading,writing and input in Chinese teaching will be changed to a certain extent.This essay is divided into five parts,including a total of four chapters,including an introduction and a conclusion.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the topic selection background,research significance,research content,and research methods.It also contains a review of relevant literature research,mainly the current status of domestic and foreign research on task-based teaching and an overview of the study of elementary Chinese.Chapter 2: This part firstly introduces the current situation of Chinese as a second language teaching in Malaysian universities.Based on a questionnaire survey on Chinese teaching design at Northern University,author analyzes the results of the questionnaire,and discusses the necessity and feasibility of task-based teaching method in comprehensive Chinese course for elementary students of Northern University.Chapter 3: The teaching design of the task-based elementary Chinese integrated course for the University of Northern Malaysia introduces the specific operation framework of the task-based elementary Chinese integrated course,and elaborates from the two aspects of the overall teaching design and teaching examples;Chapter 4: After implementing the teaching experiment,from the perspective of questionnaire analysis,classroom observation records and student interviews,the author summarizes the teaching design and teaching experiments of task-based comprehensive courses,analyzes the advantages of task-based comprehensive courses,and finds out the existing problems in designing and making suggestions for the task-based elementary Chinese comprehensive course.
