A Comparative Study Of The Vocabulary Of Modern Uyghur Keping And Hotan Dialects

Scholars have different opinions on the attribution of Kalpin accent in the division of modern Uyghur dialects,but there is no universally accepted result.According to Mr.Mirsultan Osmanof,the Kalpin accent area is geographically distributed in the central dialect area.From the point of view of the main criteria for the division of dialects,it is the same with Hotan dialect,but other characteristics are the same with the central dialects,Kashgar accent and Tarim accent,in addition to some unique characteristics.Therefore,it is regarded as a special accent.Neither in the Hotan dialect nor in the central dialect.However,Mr.Gao Shijie and Mr.Xiang-Libo believe that Kalpin accent is a "dialect island"of Hotan dialect.At present,the study of Uyghur dialects and vernacular language has reached a mature stage,but the ownership of Kalpin accent language has not been solved.In the past,scholars' researches on Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect are mainly focused on phonetic and morphological characteristics.There's also some research on vocabulary,but they are only partial and simple description.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct in-depth and systematic comprehensive research on the vocabulary of Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect from multiple perspectives.This paper in Kalpin accents and Hotan dialect first-hand information gained by the field investigation and on the basis of predecessors' research results,in order to solve the problem as a starting point,Kalpin accent belongs in Kalpin accents and a comparative study of Hotan dialect vocabulary features by comparing statistical Kalpin accent and in the Hotan dialect vocabulary in common and difference,put forward the opinion of Kalpin accent attribution problem.By drawing on the existing research results and using the methods of descriptive dialectology,historical comparative linguistics and lexical semantics,this paper makes a comprehensive and in-depth analysis and description of the vocabulary of Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect.In order to solve the problem of the attribution of Kalpin accent,Through the comprehensive comparative analysis and research of these two dialects,it provides the basis for solving the problem of the attribution of Kalpin accent.This paper mainly includes three parts,introduction,text and appendix.Introduction,this part of the content includes,Kalpin County and Hotan area of the geographical history and human situation.In addition,this paper discusses mainly the research purpose,research significance,research methods,this article use the transfer and thumbnail symbols and survey information content,such as combing the relevant research results,put forward in this paper,we study the breakthrough point and the theory of specific research method,dynamic,through the study of existing comprehensively summarizes the Kalpin accent research results related to Hotan dialect.The body of this paper consists of five parts.The first chapter is an overview Kalpin accent mixed characteristics,in order to explore and find out the keping dialects and hotan dialect vocabulary of commonality and differences,first of all to know what the simple comparison or Kalpin accent with Hotan dialect and the surrounding Kashgar,Uchturfan and other local accent,especially with Kashgar accent phonetics,grammar same and different aspects of the most basic,and general characteristics of the vocabulary.The second chapter is the synchronic comparison between Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect.By comparison,the same words in Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect are summed up.Different words:phonetically distinct words,completely different words,words with different ranges of meaning,specific words,etc.The third chapter is the comparison of lexical sources between Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect,including the ancient Turkic words retained in these two dialects and loanwords from different sources,(Chinese,Arabic-Persian and other language loanwords),etc.The fourth chapter analyzes the comparison of cultural words between Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect.The cultural words in this part mainly include local folk culture words(etiquette,food,clothing,cloth and dress,buildings,household tools,children's games,textiles,jade and stones),names and nicknames,kinship terms,terms related to agriculture,animal husbandry and handicraft industry and so on.The fifth chapter is Kalpin accent and Kashgar accent vocabulary thoroughly synchronic comparison research,mainly through to the Kalpin accent and the surrounding Kashgar,Uchturfan and other local accent,especially in Kalpin accents and Kashgar accent vocabulary comparison,induces the two simple statistics and accent pronunciation,word meaning and so on various aspects discriminating between words,the same word,different words,special words,retained the ancient turkic vocabulary,loanwords and the source of the new words,and analysis and comparison,such as the culture of the two accent words.The last part is the epilogue.In addition,there are appendices,including the vocabulary of Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect,the discourse materials of Kalpin accent and Hotan dialect recorded with the international phonetic alphabet,and the local accent materials of surrounding Kashgar and Uchturfan County.The corpus covers 10 villages in Hotan City,Karakash,Lop,Chira County in Hotan Prefecture and Yurchi and Gazlik Township in Kalpin County,covering all fields of social production and social life.as well as the final references.
