Research On The Dimensional Translation Of Idioms In "Water Margin"

Idioms are cultural products deposited in the long history of the Chinese nation which contain the rich society?history and culture of China.Water Margin,one of the Four Great Novels with the historical background of the Song Dynasty and the theme of peasant uprising.The translation team involved in the translation and revision of the novel is composed of experienced translators and linguists who have been engaged in translation work for many years.Therefore,the English version has strict grammar,appropriate language and is smooth and easy to understand.It can be used as a reference book for the theory and practice of Chinese-Uyghur translation studies.This paper takes the idioms in the Water Margin as the entry point,collects?summarizes and classifies the Chinese-Uyghur translations of the idioms in the Water Margin and analyzes the most appropriate expression of the idioms in Uighur by comparing them with existing Chinese-Uyghur idiom dictionaries while summerize some methods and skills.I sincerely hope that my work has a small complement and promote to Chinese-Uyghur idiom translation theory and Chinese-Uyghur idiom translation practice and also hope that through the analysis research contains the national colors of idioms promote had the cultural communication between the two people,thus two national language to the study of the learners to provide the beneficial reference and help.This thesis mainly consists of three parts which include five chapters:introduction?body and conclusion:The first chapter is the introduction part which first discusses the purpose of the topic and the significance of the research,then expounds the research content and methods of the relevant papers and finally explains the source of the corpus.The second part is the body part which divided into three chapters.The first chapter briefly summarizes the definition?characteristics and structure of Chinese and Uyghur idioms and the characteristics of Uyghur translation of Chinese idioms according to the previous research results.The third chapter analyzes the methods and techniques used in the translation of Chinese Idioms in Water Margin,then compares it with the Chinese-Uyghur Dictionary of idioms and summarizes the methods and techniques adopted.Chapter Four first analyzes the translation of the idioms used in the poems of Water Margin and then compares the translation of idioms in Water Margin with the dictionary of Chinese and Uyghur idioms.The Final part is the summarizes of the article.When translating idioms,we should correctly understand their meanings and flexibly adopt various translation methods and skills to ensure the correctness of translation on the premise of being faithful to the original text.
