A Study On The Characteristics And Causes Of Jia Difei's Oil Paintings In Stages

In the development of oil painting in the Northeast region,the oil painter Jia Difei is an individual with a turning point and iconic significance.Since the mid-1980 s,he has led the development of contemporary expressive oil paintings in Northeast China through the epoch-making "General Yang Jingyu" with Hu Tilin.In his personal serial creation,he has shown an aesthetic character that transcends the regional context since the "Vineyard" series,and ranks among the frontiers of Chinese oil painting expressive exploration.This research attempts to study the characteristics of Jia Difei's oil painting creation stage in the past 40 years.On the one hand,it sorts out the causes of each stage of his style,as well as the important contribution and guiding role of the exploration of oil painting style in the Northeast from the mid-1980 s to around 2000;on the other hand,it examines the difference between the traditional artistic atmosphere and the early expressionism in Jia Difei's recent works,aiming to reflect the development trend of Chinese contemporary expressive oil painting from borrowing from the West to returning to the local consciousness in a small way by using iconic cases.And further position its individual artistic value in the history of art so far.
