In Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,language teaching and cultural teaching are mutual influenced and restricted,furthermore cultural teaching which is an integral part,playing an increasingly important role.Chinese culture is brilliant and splendid with a long history.As an important part of Chinese culture and essential content of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,Chinese ceramic culture has a profound historical background and rich cultural connotation,which carries the essence of national culture and shows the wisdom of laboring people,becoming an outstanding representative of Chinese traditional culture.Meanwhile,the unique charm of ceramic culture has a positive influence in promoting cultural exchanges with its irreplaceable value and significance.Therefore,it is must be paid attention to how to effectively apply the Chinese ceramic culture to Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language has become a matter.This paper first provides an overview of Chinese ceramics,summarizes its concept,development history and situation of external exchange,and also lists several representative Chinese ceramics.Then,this paper analyzes the cultural connotation of Chinese ceramics from three aspects: shape,the color of glaze and decoration,explores the relationship between Chinese ceramics and Chinese culture from four angles,and analyzes the significance of Chinese ceramic culture in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.In order to know more about the understanding level and interest degree of foreign students in Chinese ceramic culture,as well as the current situation of teaching about Chinese ceramic culture in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,the author has taken a questionnaire survey and found out the teaching problems of Chinese ceramic culture in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language by analyzing the data.In addition,the author also collected sets of textbooks of language teaching and cultural teaching,found out the applying situation of Chinese ceramic culture in textbooks for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and pointed out the problems existing in writing of these textbooks through analysis.On the basis of the above analysis,the author puts forward some improvement strategies according to the relevant theories.For classroom teaching,the author proposes to incorporate cultural factors into language teaching,appropriately select targeted teaching content,pay attention to the stages of cultural teaching,adopt various teaching methods and strengthen teachers' cultural literacy.For the writing of textbooks,the author proposes to enrich the content of Chinese ceramic culture and add a section that introduces cultural background for language textbooks.As for cultural textbooks,the author puts forward that we should pay attention to the interest of the compilation.This paper aims to help improve the Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and make a beneficial exploration for the teaching of Chinese ceramic culture.
