"Suzhou Film" Research

The history of counterfeiting in traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy has lasted for a long time,which is even more rampant in the late Ming Dynasty.The “Suzhou piece” counterfeiting emerged in this period,is the most representative among the regional counterfeiting in Ming and Qing Dynasties.The more outstanding level of counterfeiting and the participation of a large number of literati painters enable the "Suzhou piece" workshop to produce a lot of exquisite and gorgeous products.At present,the studies on "Suzhou piece" is far from enough,and we seldom pay much attention to it because of the exclusion of counterfeits.Through the statistics and the sorting of the "Suzhou piece" forgeries,the author analyzes the theme,the object and the picture characteristics of the forgery,in order to enhance people's understanding of the "Suzhou piece",and then further improve the ability to distinguish between authenticity and falsehood.
