| The text of this report is the Chapter 8(Enhancing the student experience)of the educational administration book The Higher Education Managers Handbook:Effective Leadership and Management in Universities and Colleges.The Chapter 8has introduced the “Teaching Excellence Framework(TEF)” and the “students experience”,and has put forward some practical suggestions to improve the current situation of the higher education.The text is highly logical with many references from other scholars' viewpoints and expressions,and the syntactic structures are relatively complex.Combining with the characteristics of the text genre and the language,this report analyzes the three phenomena of the text — nominalization,parenthesis and causal sentences,and summarizes the translation methods like the method of component conversion method and use of parenthesis marks.The report aims to provide some reference value for the translation of educational administration texts or the linguistic phenomena such as nominalization,and provide new ideas and methods for promoting the reform and management of higher education in China. |
