This translation text is selected from an energy science and technology work,titled The Energy Disruption Triangle: Three Sectors That Will Chang How We Generate,Use,and Store Energy(chapters 15-17).This book reveals the energy revolution facing us and its impact on human all over the world.“Triangle”refers to solar energy,V2 G and energy storage.The three chapters selected are based on the in-depth analysis of the above three technologies,exploring the future energy development trend and elaborating the measures that countries take in the face of energy challenges and opportunities and their prospects.The selected text lists a large number of examples,which gives the original founded basis.Firstly,the conversion of part of speech is used in the report to bridge the incomplete correspondence between English and Chinese lexical system;secondly,the abstract and concrete extension of word meaning is used to make the translation achieve the same expressive force of the original text in English;for the professional terms appearing in the text,the parallel text method is used for terminology translation;in addition,as for the differences in sentence structure between English and Chinese,the report mainly discusses the translation methods such as component transformation and sentence merging and splitting.It's hoped that this translation practice report can help people know more relevant knowledge pertaining to energy science and technology and provide new and valuable reference materials for translators in related research fields.
