Research On The Change Of Water System And Its Influence On Huai'an City

The water system is the context of the origin and deduction of the city.The development of modern cities leads to the destruction of the water system,and the contradiction between the city and water is prominent.The relationship between city and water is an important component of the relationship between man and land,and is an important research content of geography.There is a complementary and mutually promoting relationship between cities and water systems.The long-term historical changes of the water system will cause corresponding changes in the cities surrounding the water system.This article uses Huai'an as a case study to study the changes in the water system in Huai'an and its impact on urban development from the pre-Qin period to after the founding of the People's Republic of China.Based on basic theories such as man-land relationship theory,historical watershed theory,sustainable development theory,urban morphology theory,etc.,the article studies the historical change process of the water system in Huai'an area through field investigation,historical data interpretation and map verification.And use modern mapping software to visually express the distribution of Huai'an water system in different historical periods on the map,further analyze the impact of water system changes on the development and changes of Huai'an city,and reveal the water system's influence on the urban structure of Huai'an area,the formation of Huai'an urban space,and the formation and transportation of Huai'an water culture.The impact of the development of transportation,industry,and commerce,floods and agricultural development in Huai'an.Finally,in accordance with the needs of sustainable development in the new era,implement the ecological development concept of "green water and green mountains",and propose sustainable development strategies for the relationship between Huai'an city and water.Through the study of the influence of water system changes on Huai'an city,this article draws the following main conclusions:(1)The transition process of surface water system in Huai'an and its surrounding areas from the pre-Qin period to after the founding of the People's Republic of China is more complicated.During the pre-Qin period,Huai'an was located in the lower reaches of Huaishui and Surabaya.After the canal is penetrated,a cross-shaped water system with the Huai River and the canal as the axis is formed.Later,due to the Yellow River's seizure of the Huaihe River and political disputes,the regional water system was disordered and blocked.After the Republic of China,a series of water system control and dredging projects were successively built to restore the smooth flow of the regional water system centered on Huai'an;(2)Frequent water system changes affected the development of Huai'an.The first prosperity of Huai'an was in the Sui,Tang and Northern Song dynasties after the canal was opened.After the Yellow River captured Huai'an,the flood threatened Huai'an,and the city developed slowly.However,the development of a series of water control and water conservation projects and the stationing of the water transport command agency promoted the second prosperity of Huai'an during the Ming and Qing Dynasties;(3)At the macro-regional level,the changes in the water system have made Huai'an the intersection center of the regional water systems.The characteristics of humans living by the water promote the expansion and distribution of regional towns along the water system,and Huai'an has become the regional town center.At the micro level,the urban form of Huai'an central urban area is formed by the expansion of Huaiyin,Chuzhou,Qingjiangpu and other cities and towns along the water system.A well-developed water system was the advantage of the development of various industries in Huai'an in ancient times.It provided irrigation water for agriculture,provided access to land and water transportation,and promoted the development of Huai'an industry,commerce and service industries.The changes in the water system caused by the Yellow River in the later period also led to the decline of various industries and collapsed;(4)The slow development of Huai'an today is related to the changes in the historical water system.Huai'an City should strengthen the protection of urban water systems,at the same time improve the status of water transportation in the transportation system,actively develop tourism with water systems as the core,and fully tap the cultural and landscape value of historical water systems.Only through the above measures can an ecological pattern of Huai'an city be built with water dependence,and at the same time,the sustainable development of the relationship between Huai'an city and water can be promoted.
