Research On Chinese Contemporary Poster Design Based On "Graphic Design In China"

"Graphic Design in China"(GDC)was born in 1992 in Shenzhen,the frontier of reform and opening up.As a participant and witness in the process of contemporary graphic design in China,GDC has experienced nearly 30 years of growth and change.Its appearance is accidental,but also inevitable.The research on the works in this exhibition,especially the poster design works as the core category of GDC,plays an extremely important role in thinking about the development of Chinese poster design.Through a peek at the poster works at GDC,we can see the unique charm of the "power of images" in China.Based on the research on GDC's contemporary Chinese poster design,this article discusses the following aspects: First,this article analyzes the historical development of GDC to study the concept and development direction of GDC.For GDC,its development is not Achieved overnight,but step by step.Many achievements and setbacks have been experienced in the process.Second,as the basic attributes of GDC's poster works,"functionality and practicality" are the important reasons why posters can become posters.It is an indispensable part of social life and an important medium for emotional communication;third,GDC's poster works are "cultural and artistic",becoming a carrier of culture and an important window for displaying artistic characteristics,and it is the localization of Chinese posters It is an important proof and an important witness of this process.How to better explore and develop localized posters is a problem that we need to think about.This article will conduct an in-depth study from the direction of the occurrence,evolution,maturity,and current status of the design.;Fourth,GDC's poster works not only have a functional role,not only show the development of culture and art,but also the recorder,which is part of the document.Therefore,“timeliness and documentary” are indispensable features in GDC's poster works.GDC's poster works have witnessed the development of China,the progress of the world,and the changes in society.At the same time,GDC itself has also recorded the development of contemporary Chinese posters,which is the epitome of the development of Chinese posters.Finally,based on the above research,the author takes the poster design of the main image of the "Bon Jour Art Book Fair Shanghai" as the source of practice,and uses the research results to explore the design practice.
