An Empirical Study On The Channels And Modes Of Drug Transport On The China-Myanmar Border

In recent years,the complex situation of "multi-entry and all-round infiltration" of China by foreign drug sources such as "golden triangle","golden crescent" and south America has not changed,especially from Myanmar.Yunnan province has become the main channel for Myanmar drugs to infiltrate into China due to its special geographical location.in order to improve the ability of blocking sources,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the channels and methods of border drug transportation,find out the reasons for the repeated prohibition of transportation crimes,and put forward targeted countermeasures.The article is mainly based on the statistics of judgments,the analysis of individual cases and the on-the-spot investigation.It makes a comprehensive study from the three aspects of drug transportation channel,transportation mode and transportation subject.Through research,it is found that China and Myanmar are linked by mountains and rivers,without natural barriers,with extremely high forest coverage,countless mountain paths,and difficulty in blocking sources.The highway transportation network in China is developed,drug traffickers' transportation routes are complicated,there are many aircraft routes,the number of flights is large,personnel are intensive,and the second-line interception is complicated.There are various modes of drug transportation along the border between China and Myanmar,and the mode of human body drug transportation has always been prominent,with the use of express delivery and logistics for transportation showing a sharp increase.The main body of drug trafficking along the border between China and Myanmar is characterized by low cultural quality,unemployment,farmers and younger age.The surplus labor force in rural areas is large and is at a disadvantage in professional competition.Many people have low cultural quality and little knowledge of the harm of drugs.They are easy to be used by drug trafficking syndicates and act as couriers to transport drugs for others.Most drug traffickers are in Myanmar.Due to the chaotic political situation in Myanmar,many of them are controlled by civilian armed forces and drug crime syndicates.The cases are difficult to extend and drug traffickers are difficult to capture.Based on the current situation of drug transportation along the border between China and Myanmar,this paper puts forward suggestions for systematic management.First of all,it is necessary to intensify the blocking and intercepting of sources,form a three-dimensional inspection system covering the main "water,land,air,mail and goods",strictly implement the blocking and intercepting strategy of "first-line blocking at the border,second-line inspection at the mainland,and third-line interception at the provincial gate",and at the same time strengthen international police cooperation to extend the cases overseas.Then,in view of the complex transportation network and various modes of transportation,we should strengthen the construction of anti-drug teams and establish anti-drug forces suitable for the anti-drug task.In order to prevent drug traffickers from using loopholes in the management of the transportation industry to carry out drugs,it is necessary to improve the management of the transportation industry and implement the real-name system for express delivery and logistics.Finally,we should strengthen the publicity and education of drug prevention,deepen the people's understanding of relevant legal knowledge,and cultivate their awareness of consciously resisting drug crimes.
