In1999the Ministry of education, country civilian appoint formal approval will be listed as Yunnan national middle school national unity education activities in the pilot provinces, and Yunnan Province in2006established a demonstration school of434primary and secondary education programs as national unity. The success of experiences and practices of education of Yunnan Province, primary and secondary national unity repeatedly commended by the Ministry of Education, State Ethnic Affairs Commission, but we can not ignore some of the problems. Through a survey of18primary and secondary schools in Yunnan Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture of Dali City, Nanjian Yi Autonomous County, Jianchuan County counties and cities, a comprehensive understanding of the current status quo of the youth national unity education in frontier minority areas, to discover the insufficiency, and proposed the corresponding improvement measures.This thesis is divided into five parts:The first chapter is an introduction of the background of the topics, meaning and purpose of research projects, research status, the relevant definition of the core concepts of the theoretical basis of research and research ideas and research design.The second chapter discusses the importance of education of youth national unity to strengthen frontier minority areas.Discussed from the five aspects:Ethnic unity education is an important part of school education;Strengthen the frontier regions of juvenile national unity education to enhance young people a sense of national pride and patriotic feelings;Strengthen the education of frontier regions youth national unity is an urgent need to accelerate economic and social development in ethnic minority areas;Strengthen the frontier regions of juvenile national unity education is an urgent need for inside and outside to prevent enemy forces to split the motherland and attempt; Strengthen the frontier regions youth national unity education is to promote an urgent need for national unity and building a socialist harmonious society.The third chapter is the Survey of the young people of ethnic unity education in frontier minority areas, covering three aspects:the understanding of the school leaders and teachers on the education of national unity, the overall situation of the degree of national identity in the primary and secondary schools and the priactice of the ethnic unity education in schools.The foutfh chapter is the problem and cause analysis in the education of youth national unity in frontier minority areas. Through the survey found that there is a part of school leaders and teachers for ethnic unity education goal understanding is not clear, Some students in middle and primary schools in ethnic unity consciousness is weak, the primary and secondary schools educational effect of national unity is less obvious and has combined with the actual analysis of the causes of the problem.The fifth chapter is the frontier minority areas to strengthen national unity education proposal,to establish a correct understanding of ethnic unity education, strengthen the national spirit with patriotism as the core of education, educational administrative departments to strengthen supervision of ethnic unity education in schools, to strengthen the nationalunity education of teacher training, to open the national unity education courses, through the infiltration of the related subjects of national unity education, and through related activities permeate national unity education seven aspects to put forward the suggestions for improvement.
