Research On The Design Of Home-based Elderly Care Service Models In Urban Communities In The Yangtze River Delta Region Of China

Since the end of the 20^thcentury,the community service for home care of elderly has been vigorously promoted in the streets and communities of all the cities in our country,breaking the boundaries of institutions,communities and families,realizing the effective allocation of pension resources,and enhancing the utilization efficiency.In the streets and communities where the community service for home care of elderly has been implemented,new problems such as mismatching of needs,disconnection of management,inadequate medical care and so forth emerge.It is proposed in this paper that the collaboration of the service design and innovative methods in various fields shall be introduced into the study on the community service for home care of elderly,and sociology,management science,public services and so forth shall be integrated to help design the mode of operation for the home care of elderly in the community.The service providers,objects of the service and managers are redefined in the newly designed service mode,and the existing pension resources are integrated by new modes of operation,mainly to meet the daily needs,leisure and social needs of the elderly.The service design discussed in this paper is based on the behavioral concepts and methodology generated by the current changes in social humanities and economic relations brought by the social service innovation.First of all,the impact of social innovation on service and the public service field as well as the opportunity of service design to enter the trans-disciplinary public service innovation was first elaborated.Secondly,the generation of service design and its definitions in different fields or applications were expounded,mainly explaining the process flow and application tools of service design.Then,with the urban community in the Yangtze River Delta as the main research object,the mature and extended mode of community service for home care of elderly was studied,and the service object,service content,service mode and service community types of the existing mode was analyzed.The results show that new urban communities are short of the construction of community service for home care of elderly.Therefore,on this basis,the construction situation of new urban communities,community characteristics,status of the community service for home care of elderly,and the mode of community service for home care of elderly specific to new communities.Finally,with the newly constructed“Zijin Community”in Qinhuai District of Nanjing as a prototype,the mode of community service for home care of elderly for new communities was designed in this paper.Based on the investigation and analysis tools of service design,it was proposed to take the residential property community as the integration center for the community service for home care of elderly,to receive the service needs of the elderly internally,and provide multilevel services for the elderly in the community by externally allying the community,social organizations and service agencies after the in-depth investigation and analysis of the organization structure and relationship of the community service for home care of elderly,the activity places of the elderly and the characteristics of the elderly population in this community.Staff can be added to the residential property management center to manage and contact the elderly,and the elderly associations can be set up in the community,so as to ensure effective communication and operation of services.
