Study On Humanistic Activation Of Urban Historic District From The Perspective Of "Heterotopia"

Space,as the product of social relations,results from the purposeful social practice,and at the same time acts on the social relations and social practice,which deeply affects our daily life.After the reform of economic system,Chinese society ushered in the vigorous development of urbanization,which was accompanied by the great evolution of urban space.The depth of power and capital is involved in the production and construction of urban space,and our lifestyle has changed greatly in the process of continuous production of urban space.As a special space in the city,the historical district of the city has more prominent value of the times under the background of the rapid development of urbanization.What kind of ways and paths should be taken to protect and activate urban historic blocks is a more and more important research topic at present.This paper attempts to take the practice of humanistic activation in Whampoa Ancient Village of Guangzhou as the research object,using the method of field investigation,using the participation observation and in-depth interview,starting from Foucault's space thought of "heterotopia",taking the practice of humanistic activation in Whampoa Village of Guangzhou as the research object.This paper makes a detailed analysis of the practice process of humanistic activation in Whampoa Ancient Village Historical District.This paper expounds the characteristics of Whampoa ancient village historic district as a kind of "heterotopia" space,and its unique significance and value in modern urban society,and takes the humanistic activation practice of Whampoa ancient village as an example to present a feasible path of urban historical district activation.Based on Foucault's "heterotopia" space thought,this paper first makes a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of "heterotopia" in Whampoa Ancient Village Historical District.Based on the long-term field investigation of Whampoa ancient village,this paper holds that Whampoa ancient village historical district has the characteristics of heterogeneity and contradiction,openness and closeness,authenticity and imagination.It shows the characteristics which are very similar to the connotation of Foucault's concept of "heterotopia",which makes Whampoa ancient village historic district a unique heterogeneous space in modern urban space and provides an ideal habitat for cultural and artistic communities.Secondly,the practice of humanistic activation in Whampoa ancient village is studied,and the practical process is presented and analyzed in detail from the initial stage,the turning stage and the deepening stage of humanistic activation.It is considered that the practice of humanistic activation in Whampoa ancient village has more prominent humanistic connotation and social value,and it is a activation path of urban historical district that can be used for reference.But at the same time,this kind of humanistic activation practice with grassroots nature also has its natural limitations.This study attempts to look at the unique social and humanistic value of urban historical blocks in modern urban society from the perspective of space-society,as a "heterotopia" space.It calls for the revitalization and protection of historic urban blocks through the humanistic approach,the creation of more community connections,and the restoration of the richness and diversity of social life.
