With the implementation of the new round of curriculur reform,the five”core literacy'*has become the main goal of the current history curriculum.As one of the five core literacy of the history subject,the "time and space concept,will inevitably become the necessaiy ability for history curriculum learning.The carrier of the "time and space concept*' in the history teaching of middle school is a historical map with intuitive characteristics on the two issues of time series and space.The geographical environment of a specific historical time is presented in a flat or three-dimensional form,increasing the intuitive experience of students.On this basis,it also helps to cultivate students'historical thinking and solve historical problems.However,in the actual teaching,the actual teaching environment and the personal qualities of teachers have not fully met the goal of cultivating students'"time and space concept".Under the new curriculum standard,how to better cultivate students' "time and space concept' through historical maps needs to be combined with reality to think again.This article takes the application of historical maps in the history teaching of high school and the cultivation of time and space concepts as the theme,which is mainly divided into four parts:The first part states the reason for the topic selection,introduces the current research status and the research objectives,contents and methods of this paper.The second part defines the concept of core literacy and historical map of time and space,including the characteristics and classification of historical maps and their connection with the cultivation of time and space concepts.The third part analyzes the current status of the use of historical maps in historical teaching.It consists of the statistical analysis of the number of historical maps in the textbooks and the historical status of the historical maps in the first year of the Yellow River.Combing the role of historical maps in the cultivation of spatial concepts in the concept of time and space,and point out the shortcomings of the three aspects of concept renewal,technology update and applied teaching in the overall grasp of the concept of time and space.The fourth part is based on the cultivation of "space-time concept" literacy.It proposes to strengthen the teaching goal and locate the spatial position based on the use of historical maps;integrate the teaching content to show the space-time environment;focus on the ability to improve,and construct the strategic suggestion of the feasibility of the concept of time and space.
