With the continuous development of China's education,the cultivation of students'core qualities and abilities has become the focus of China's education in recent years.In terms of how to cultivate students' core qualities and abilities,the use of context has been regarded as a very effective way.In this context,the existing methods of geography situation teaching in junior middle schools also need to be improved to meet the requirements of the new situation.The content of junior middle school geography is basically carried out from the perspective of region.The understanding of region has always been an important part in the education process of junior middle school geography.How to cultivate students' regional cognitive ability through situational teaching is a problem worthy of our in-depth discussion and research.Based on the literature review and the current situation of situational teaching,this study puts forward the principles and Strategies of geographical situational teaching in junior high school based on the cultivation of regional cognitive ability,and applies them to practical teaching activities.According to the principles and Strategies of regional cognitive ability and situational teaching,the teaching is designed and implemented according to the teaching design.Based on the comparison of pre-test and post test,the interview of students and the self observation of teachers,the teaching effect is verified.Finally,the teaching theory of geographical situational teaching in Junior high school based on the cultivation of regional cognitive ability is improved and optimized through reflection and summary.The conclusion is as follows:(1)The general level of situational teaching of geography teachers in school J is average.(2)Based on the cultivation of regional cognitive ability,junior middle school geography situational teaching should adhere to the principles of goal,subjectivity,life,problem orientation and discipline.(3)Based on the cultivation of regional cognitive ability,geographical situation teaching in junior high school is feasible in theory and practice and can effectively improve the students' regional cognitive ability.(4)The strategy of geographical situational teaching in junior high school based on the cultivation of regional cognitive ability should be based on the key elements of situational teaching.(5)Through role-playing,students can integrate into living and social situations,which can effectively promote students' fine processing of knowledge.(6)Strategies from the perspective of classroom interaction can effectively train students' regional cognitive ability and promote the formation of learning communities.(7)From the perspective of the characteristics of geography,the strategies can cultivate the students' ability of using geographical tools and thinking to induce the distribution of geographical things.This study enriches the theory of geography situational teaching design and implementation,and provides some references for teachers to design and implement geography situational teaching in junior middle school based on regional cognitive ability cultivation.
