With the further arrival of the information technology era,the application of mathematics in natural science,social science,thinking science,production and life has been widely recognized.The application of mathematics has penetrated into all fields of human society.For example,at the beginning of 2020,Zhong Nanshan team applied the mathematical model to predict the 2019-ncov epidemic trend and effectively prevent and control the epidemic situation.Education is the foundation of governing the country.In 2017,?Ordinary Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard?proposed to cultivate students' mathematics core literacy,and mathematics application awareness is the internal performance and external requirements of mathematics core literacy.Therefore,students in the new era should not only master mathematics knowledge,but also learn to use mathematics knowledge and methods to solve practical problems.As the guide of students,teachers urgently need to cultivate and improve the mathematics application consciousness of senior high school students,so as to comprehensively improve the comprehensive quality of students,promote students' independent development ability,innovation ability and practical ability,and make them builders who meet the requirements of socialism.First of all,this paper through consulting various monographs and literature to understand the current situation of mathematics application research,and based on Dewey's educational theory,H.Freudenthal's teaching principle and Constructivism learning theory,designed student questionnaire and test paper.Secondly,the paper analyzed the status of mathematics application consciousness in the college entrance examination in the past three years,and revealed that the direction of mathematics education in senior high schools in China is to consciously cultivate mathematics application ability into the necessary quality of every citizen.Therefore,with the opportunity of educational practice,the author conducted questionnaire and test paper survey on some students in Yanbian No.2 middle school to investigate their actual mathematics application level and difficulties in doing math word problems.At the same time,the part of senior high school mathematics teachers were interviewed in order to understand the work of teachers in the teaching process and the difficulties faced in the process of training students' mathematics application consciousness.The results showed that in the current senior high school mathematics education in our country,the teaching mode is seriously limited to exam oriented education,teachers and students have not paid enough attention to the mathematics application,and the strategy of cultivating the consciousness of mathematics application is still lacking,so the comprehensive quality of students is also affected negatively.At the same time,the research finded that the factors that affect the development of students' mathematics application consciousness can be summed up as follows:teachers,students and teaching materials.In view of the above problems,according to the causes that affect the development of senior high school students' mathematics application consciousness,and combined with specific teaching cases,the author gived some effective cultivation strategies for senior high school students' mathematics application consciousness:Changing the teaching concept of teachers,strengthen their own mathematics application literacy;Encouraging students to find and ask questions,enhance the self-confidence of mathematics application;Giving full play to the advantages of teaching materials,cultivate modeling ability;Combining mathematics with actual life,promote the improvement of practical ability;Using modern information technology to show the interest and strange beauty of mathematics.Through this research,the author hope that the majority of educators can take the training of students' mathematics application consciousness as one of the tasks of senior high school mathematics teaching,and make contributions to improve the senior high school students' mathematics application consciousness.
