In today's era of information explosion, the forms of information acquisition have changed in a variety of ways. The diversity of information acquisition methods leads to our acquisition of information is no longer just the transmission of traditional paper information. We can use modern information acquisition tools to greatly improve the ability of information acquisition and evaluation. In modern information acquisition tools, user behavior directly depends on how the user obtains information. The topic we need to discuss is how to capture information more quickly, how to provide information service according to the user's psychological needs, and how to provide information service, which should be the core issue of information service in today's era.We need to master users' psychology at every stage of information acquisition. To study how psychology affects behavior. This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the basic concept and theoretical basis of this paper, which is divided into three summaries, mainly focusing on the cognitive process, information acquisition behavior, and the relationship between them. This paper briefly introduces the cognitive process and its elements. This paper introduces the related concepts of information acquisition behavior in detail, and introduces the famous information acquisition model of western scholars. Then the relationship between cognitive process and information acquisition behavior is described. The second part is a questionnaire survey of information acquisition behavior of college students based on cognitive process. After confirming the research object and introducing the investigation purpose and method. From the six aspects of attention, feeling, perception, memory, imagination and thinking, the information acquisition behavior was investigated.Summarize and analyze the survey results. It sums up how college students should do to get the information they want to use more conveniently, effectively and quickly, and turn the information into their own,so that they can quickly think of the information they can use when they finish the task in the future. The third part is to analyze the influence of six factors of cognitive process on the information acquisition behavior of college students, summarize the characteristics and laws of attention of college students and conclude that we should turn unintentional attention into intentional attention;the characteristics and laws of feeling and perception conclude that we should quickly find out the information we want by improving the information capture of vision and hearing;the characteristics and laws of memory and forgetting Only when we have repeated review and review on time, can we turn these information into our own memory and quickly extract it when we use it;the characteristics and laws of imagination, when we get information, can we get more association, and then more unintentional imagination into intentional imagination,so that we have the motivation to find information and solve the problems we encounter in reality;thinking According to the characteristics and laws,we should analyze and summarize the obtained information. The fourth part is to improve the efficiency of information acquisition of college students.Based on the third part of the basis of the conclusion of the analysis put forward substantive suggestions, respectively from the internal and external aspects of the discussion. From the cognitive process of college students and the builders of information resources. The cognitive process of college students is analyzed from attention, perception, memory, imagination and thinking. On the other hand,it is the promotion of information builders. From the guidance of the correct cognitive process of college students, improve the construction of information resources.
