With the continuous development of information network technology and China's efforts in vigorously promoting the "Internet+education" strategy,Massive Open Online Courses(MOOC)since 2012,which was called the first year of MOOC,has gradually become the hot spot of online learning.MOOCs,with their large scale,low barriers to entry,low cost for learners and the like,have become a new trend to promote education fairness and the backbone of public education resources.However,as massive open online courses,low completion rate is a common drawback.Although the completion rate of MOOCs cannot be regarded as the only criterion to measure the success of MOOCs,the completion rate can also reflect the quality of MOOCs to some extent.Due to the particularity of teacher's profession,there are some problems in traditional teacher training programs,such as the content,pedagogy,and effects.Over time,MOOCs for teacher education,which are specially designed for front-line teachers,have gradually become a new way to solve the problems in the current teacher education.However,although MOOCs can better help teachers improve their professional ability,it is also inevitable that the completion rate of teacher education MOOCs is also low.Against this background,this study tries to raise the completion rate of teacher education MOOCs.A teacher education MOOC in Chinese university MOOC platform was the context of the study;it is titled:Education Literature Retrieval and Analysis.The MOOC course targets pre-and in-service teachers.Through literature research,for China hownet and Web of Science database literature retrieval,such as the associated with this study generalizes the research status at home and abroad,summarizes the influence factors of lesson for completion.And then we found out the corresponding ascension completion strategy.During the first round of development and implementation,we found learners' needs through the questionnaire investigation and interview method,based on the survey data,curriculum background data and the learners' learning,we evaluated the effectiveness of the improvement strategy,and then completed the iteration,modification and evaluation of the next round of courses from the perspective of design research,and finally solved the three research questions:what are the factors that affect the completion rate of teacher education MOOC?What are the strategies to improve the completion rate of MOOC?Is it effective to apply the above strategies to improve the completion rate of the course " Education Literature Retrieval and Analysis "?The conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)on the whole,the influencing factors of teacher education MOOC mainly include three major dimensions:"learners themselves","curriculum content and platform" and "lecturers",and the dimension of"learners themselves" has a significant influence.(2)In order to solve the problem of influencing factors on the completion rate of for teacher education MOOC,the following strategies can be adopted to improve it:at the end of each chapter of the course,a reflective weekly journal is added;Based on the principle of teachers' learning community,the learning group mechanism of MOOC is constructed.The establishment of curriculum development group and the implementation of credit certification mechanism;(3)the development of reflective week helps to strengthen the metacognitive level of MOOC learners,enhance their self-cognitive ability,and thus improve the possibility of completing the course;The establishment of MOOC learning group mechanism can enhance the interaction among students,enhance the learning motivation of MOOC learners,alleviate the loneliness caused by the lack of peers,and effectively alleviate the difficulties of learners in the learning process,so as to help learners complete the learning of MOOC courses.The establishment of the course development group can better match the course content with the students' learning needs,reduce the problem of teachers'untimely answers and the difficulty of homework,so as to promote students to better complete the MOOC course;(4)The implementation of strategies to improve the completion rate of teacher education MOOC has achieved significant effects and the completion rate has been improved.
