Students'values ​​mediating Effect Between Personality And School Adjustment

We administrated big five personality scale, adolescent interpersonal values scale and adaptation of college students scale which were translated or worked out by our scholar to 516 college students , so that we can explore the development characteristics of personality , interpersonal values and adaptation among undergraduates , and the mediation of interpersonal values between big five personality and adaptation of school. The results were as follows:(1)The characteristics of college students' personality were that: comparing with female students, male students tended to show more Extraversion and Agreeableness, but less Openness to experience. And liberal students showed more Neuroticism than science students.(2)The characteristics of university students' interpersonal values were that : comparing with female students, male students tended to show more independence mindset, but less safe feeling and obey mindset. And science students showed more present ago mindset than liberal students. Junior showed least mutual trust mindset than freshman but more mutual trust than sophomore.(3)The characteristics of university students' adaptation were that : Liberal students showed more learning adaptation but less interpersonal adaptation than science students. Freshman and junior showed more learning adaptation than sophomore. But there is no difference between freshman and junior.(4)For university students, independence and utility mindset fully mediate the relationship between neuroticism and college adaptation; Obey, mutual trust with each other benefit and utility mindset partially mediate the relationship between extraversion and college adaptation; independence mindset partially mediate the relationship between extraversion , agreeableness and college adaptation; and obey mindset partially mediate the relationship between conscientiousness and college adaptation.
