Comprehensive thinking is the basic thought and method to understand geographical environment and the relationship between people and land.The general high school geography curriculum standard(2017 Edition)regards the ability of geography comprehensive thinking as one of the essential geographical key competency for students.The 2018 general college entrance examination geography exam outline also emphasizes on the training and assessment of the ability of geography comprehensive thinking.It has become more and more important to select the appropriate and effective methods to train students' ability of geography comprehensive thinking.In recent years,mind map has been widely used in classroom teaching.That the systematicness,convergent-divergence,comprehensiveness which the mind map characterized made mind map has unique advantages in training students' ability of the geography comprehensive thinking.The study uses the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and classroom observation to investigate and analyze the application of mind map in the current practical teaching and the training of students' ability of geography comprehensive thinking.It is believed that it is necessary and feasible to use mind map to train the geography comprehensive thinking ability.The use of mind map in geography teaching would contribute to train the geography comprehensive thinking ability of students.Cultivate students' ability of comprehensive geographical thinking.Through analyzing the questionnaire survey and classroom observation,the following problems are found: first,teachers and students have insufficient understanding of mind map and the geography comprehensive thinking and the frequency of using mind map to train the ability of geography comprehensive thinking is relatively low;second,students own ability of geography comprehensive thinking is relatively low and students have great difference in personal ability;third,schools pay no attention to using of mind map and training geography comprehensive thinking ability and the way of training the geography comprehensive thinking ability is relatively single.In view of the existing problems,the study puts forward the corresponding countermeasures from the three aspects of teachers,students and schools: first,teachers should consciously study the curriculum standards,establish the concept of active learning,make sufficient preparation before class,widen the use of mind map,refine the teaching objectives and consciously train the ability of geography comprehensive thinking of students.Second,students should form the habit of using the mind map consciously,the ability of geography comprehensive thinking form geography comprehensive thinking,lay a solid foundation,and improve the ability of geography comprehensive thinking through multiple pathways;third,schools should pay more attention to training the mind map and geography comprehensive thinking,carry out various practical activities which are aimed to train student geography accomplishments.Finally,on the basis of the study,this paper,taking the content of "soil" as the example,designs a teaching case to train geography thinking ability of student by using mind map,so that it could provide an example for front-line teaching.
