Mind Mapping is a kind of emerging thought tool, and also is one kind of extremely highly effective management system of information. It makes people’s thoughts from the neat but complicated writing expression liberated, pays great attention to the connection between each item of things in the expression, so it causes the thought visible and visualized. Now, Mind Mapping has the widespread application in all the various trades and occupations. Fully understood its application in the education domain, it may effectively enhance our teaching efficiency.This thesis introduces the mind map and its drawing process in detail, listing the specific teaching cases with lots of pictures. It can help students and teachers to quickly master the methods and skills of handwork drawing and computer drawing a mind map. The thesis shows rich examples about Mind mapping’s application of the teaching process from four angles, the preview before class, the classroom teaching, after-school review and problem solving process, in order to provide geography teachers with a new geography teaching ideas, presenting a new learning method to students.This thesis is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction. This section describes the research background significance and literature by reading lots of emphasis and analysis and summarizes the status of the research projects proposed method of this study and theory.The second part supports the introduced of this theory. First of all it is to distinguish the similar conception of the mind map. Secondly, discussing in the theoretical basis of this study by using brain science theory, constructivism theory, information processing theory and other theories.The third part expounds the drawing method of the mind map, including the handwork drawing, computer drawing, and drawing techniques.The thesis shows rich examples about Mind mapping’s application of the teaching process from four angles, the preview before class, the classroom teaching, after-school review and problem solving process.The fifth part is the epilogue. It is introduced the advantages and announcements of using the mind map during geography teaching in the middle school.It is also introduced the innovation of the paper and the limitation of the thesis.
